is there a trick, I am missing, to reinstall the firing pin retaining pin. because I always see you guys put yours in and it goes right in, and it seems like I always have to fight with mine to get it reinstalled. what the deal
Very, very important to know that the bolt has to be turned so you can insert the cam pin, only fits one way.
What about rifle sits long periods of time between range sessions? Oil or grease
Wait, you whip off extra lube on the bcg? I treat mine like a super soaker
thank you, helpful.
Appreciate the straight forward to the point well explained video earned a sub brother.
We would absolutely never lubricate around the gas rims or inside of the bolt head. That's a bad idea all you're going to do is cause carbon buildup
#1 mistake: using anything other than GunButter.
That's very helpful for a newbie to the AR-15 platform like myself. THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION !!!!!!
I use CherryBalmz grease on the rails.
Can't beat a Nickle boron bcg….
Thereβs no such thing as too much oil on your bcgβ just donβt oil your firing pin.
Thanks
My BCG has to be soaking wet.
Well done video & good info!
I found this helpful.
Thanks! very informative, glad i saw this.
Great information! This is something I too often neglect to do.
Some good information. Fairly simple but a lot of people donβt know.
Wondering your thoughts about lubing the nickel boron BCG's, some say to run them without much lube at all.
Perfect amount of detail in this video.
Thank you for this.
Never let a BCG go dry. Worst 100+ dollar mistake youβll make from not doing a daily routine.
Good video, direct and to the point.
Helpful thanks
Good info!
No specific recommendations on lube?
Thank you, Ryan.
Great info!
Good info.
Have yet to oil my BCG , was always nervous to put too much or too little oil. This video really helped .ππ½
I have heard people say run an AR15 "Wet" but never knew if that meant soak the entire BCG in oil or just the gas rings but after watching this video I will just lube my BCGs that same as in this video
Very helpful
I've been over lubing for years. In the army we'd take a spray bottle of clp, open the bolt and spray some in there then cycle it a few times. Way too much.
How often should you clean your bolt carrier?
Very informative Iβve been piling the whole carrier. Good to know itβs not needed.
A lot of people over lube so thanks for letting everyone know.
Nice tutorial! Thanks!
Great information!
Thanks this helped. I was over oiling.
well done video
Just got my upper from them and this really helped considering its my first build
