There was a time Ruger Take-Down rifles were common or the Springfield EVAC was available. They’re all gone, they stopped making them. Why? We’ll talk about that in a future video.

Camera person was beyond the plane of your muzzle.
Tim, my dood, i bought a dolos from copper custom a few years ago and it's great. Did y'all stop carrying them?
Check out the empties "falling" from the ejection port. Kinda like beer cans being lazily tossed from a car window. 😂
Not exactly a take down rifle but so far I'm pretty impressed with my Sub2000. I wish they still made the all metal Sub9 too.
it went to the same place where all those 80's cheezy 'assasin' movies wh oused .22lr takendown rifles.
They were gimmicks
When the upper and lower already separates why does it matter?
even if you do find a take down AR-15 now days companies in my opinion want you to sell an organ to afford one. most innovations as of such are just well over price. plus now you can get AR-15 in the shortest of short barrels then there is the PDW & PCC that are in small packages an easily fit in a backpack. MSR Manufacturers such as AR 's and AK's in my opinion are charging way to much for upgraded parts and accessories just because of supply and demand look at how much they charge for some of these drop in trigger such as a binary or forced reset trigger most well over $400. an that is just because of demand for them
People quit shilling them, so there you go.
So there used to be lots of things like this sold on the company websites, but they were all…. taken down ?
It's one less BS lawsuit in case some crazy POS uses it in a shooting
Nice t-shirt…Great company! 🔥
I made my own combining a Cry Havoc QRB & LAW folder on my .300BO, check my video.
I went Law Folder and shorty boi, now looking at CMMG Dissent as the next big thing. Everyone wants an MP5 -HK prices, in 5.7 flavor yes please.
I'd rather just take my gun apart with the take down pins than introduce a sloppy barrel fit due to a pee pee poo poo take down system.
LaRue PredatOBR. Not cheap but it's still take down ish…. Not sure I'll ever really need to take it down, or want to but you can.
I think the AR pistols have taken over the "concealable AR" market
why bother? separate the upper and lower and throw a folding adapter on your buffer
They are impractical as defense guns. While on Patrol, I did not have the time to assemble the gun when I needed it in a tactical situation.
Because it’s dumb. Two pins and it’s already broken down. Don’t need much else.
part of the problem is HOW they take down. If the handguard doesn't go with the barrel, there really is no benifit [Removable barrel means the longest part is your barrel, which will be shorter than barrel and upper receiver]. In addition, removable barrel means that your bolt and carrier are positively contained in the receiver instead of needing some other mechanism to keep them in place as in a separated upper [bump the charging handle and everything falls out].
Because of stupid designs like this ruger that just the barrel comes out and the rail stays. The AR15 is already a takedown rifle. The upper separates from the lower with 2 pins. Solving a problem that doesn't exist.
Thank you 😊
I used to have an SR556 takedown, that thing was literally like 3.5-4 MOA
I don't know about any take down AR-15s, but how about those SVDs you "took down"?
The saint edge wasn't a take down rifle, the saint edge evac pistol was though.
Cry havoc tactical has an adapter but it adds over a pound to your rifle I have one on my 20 in AR
Great short, Mac. Keep 'em coming.
Put a can on that please
All ARs are take down rifles 🤷
The Saint Edge is a takedown rifle or there is just a takedown version of that model?
Check out rellim arms as an example
