  1. I am a bit confused. A couple of local gun shops says for the use of any 223/556 lower is only to be used with 223 or 556, not for any other upper calibers such as 300 aac or 22 or 7 63×39. They claim you must have a lower marked as a multi caliber.
I called Brownells and Midwest and spoke to their gun smiths and they claimed that any mil spec 223/556 marked receivers are totally compatable. I couldn't understand how either marked receivers would be different as far as changing uppers. Isn't a receiver just like any other mil spec receiver. The receiver only contains the trigger mechanism, buffer group, and safety and plays no roll in the cartridge itself.
    What's up with that?

  2. Is there a company that sell a complete upper in .22 Lr with the proper BCG and magazines? IF there is a company that sells all of the needed stuff together would it be better to go with the complete upper or just buy a dedicated AR in .22 Lr like the S&W AR-15-22 or is that a S&W AR-22?

  3. I really enjoyed the video. Would the standard 5.56 lower work with a .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor? Also, where may I find the different inserts for my 5.56 magazine?

  4. Thanks for this video. This explained everything i needed to know. I was wondering if looking for what upper to get, if they had to match the lower. But u explained it all. Great video too

  5. I have a AR-15 rifle with a.300 Blackout 16 Inch upper, I want to get a short barrel pistol AR .223 Wylde 7.5in upper for cheaper training sessions. Would I be able to do it ?

  6. So wandering Iโ€™m thinking of buying an AR-10 and been comparing between the two. Iโ€™ve heard that converting an AR-15 to .308 is very difficult and makes the AR-10 more versatile for changing yo different calibers. This will be my first rifle as Iโ€™ve got my handgun and shotgun already. I just want a rifle now.

  7. I'm relatively new to ARs and just bought myself a 556 upper. I didn't know changing out the uppers would be so simple so thanks for the tutorial!

  8. Very cool video, but your assistant seems to be lacking…. Well…. Expirence. I'm sure he's extremely smart when it comes to firearms but damn, he doesn't do the greatest job at conveying such.

  9. Joe, I loved the subject, great info, well presented. If your target audience is YouTube you really need to record in landscape. Portrait is good for Tik-Tok.

  10. Very help ful. I am a newbie and shopping for an AR lower and upper! So you can just connect an upper like 556 to a multi caliber lower and make no changes to the lower and you can run with it with it
