CMMG had a clean slate, to create a new platform firearm, and they neglected to make the bolt hold open ambidextrous.
At the very least they could’ve done, was make the charging handle hold open like the MP5.
Disappointing for a $2000 pistol, that you have to spend another $200-300 on putting a brace or stock on.

This looks to be competition for PSA's JAKL!!

Why are US firearm companies so Lazy? they should have modified the lower so it no longer has the buffer tower, and added a push safety, the flip safety is very uncomfortable and slow to deploy, charging handle should have an HK slap option

I love that CMMG continues to be innovative and continues to provide new options to the market, but, for $2k, I'm just not interested. If I were to get one, 300 Blackout would be perfect, so I'm glad you reviewed this one over the 5.56 and 5.7 versions. If the price ever comes down to $1350-$1750, I might bite, but for $2k base and what I'd be using it for, it just doesn't fit me. Maybe they'll offer downgraded versions down the road, like an MK1/MK2/MK3 model(s) and I think more people would be interested.

How is this, and I own a CMMG, not a direct rip off of the Foxtrot Mike? Side charger, non buffer, AR??? At triple the price?

I didn't think that gun was going to be two grand. I mean it looks like an awesome gun but that's a bit much for a backpack/truck gun in my opinion.

Finally someone is giving some competition to the Sig MCX.

Finally I am seeing more and more AR-15 platforms going to a bufferless BCG it is about time. In my opinion Bufferless BCG should be standard equipment. a BUffer Tube is the Biggest downfall with the AR-15 platform. Now all that needs to be done is add a 12.5" or 13.7" barrel and it would be a beast. I just wish I wasn't such a useless, loser nobody that could afford any upgrade for my AR-15

I like it but I'd have to settle for the foxtrot mike pistol. Just too much money in my opinion. I've seen the fm as low as $599. Sure it's longer but it has the pic rail at the back and side charges just like this. Just my attempt at trying to save some money. I'm sure the CMMG is great though.

I recall 704 Tactical rocking an inexpensive AR 15 pistol, so why would I want to spend 2,000 dollars to do the same thing?

Awesome video as always… I’ll definitely be getting one, hopefully they make one in .45acp soon. However I’m having a hell of a time trying to find the gear head works tail hook brace to put on the back of this and my DBX. I don’t know what it is about those things but it seems like they’ve gone extinct. Anyway awesome channel, thanks for sharing again and have a great week.

The new Dissent is much better in 300 Blackout than 556 due to the short barrel length. An 8.5 barrel would be better for this gun.

Try cheekweld shooting it like demonstrated concepts.. would love to see how it handles that way

Wish they were California legal.

Unfortunately there's no such thing as a pistol AR in Massachusetts. So building one isn't even possible.
