Painful Folding Stock Adapters SA Folder Gen 3 vs LAW

We compare the two most popular options for folding stock / brace options.
LAW Tactical gen 3 vs the Sylvan Arms gen 3 folding adapter.

This video is 100% unbiased and 100% our personal opinion just get the LAW folding adapter and ignore anyone who says the Sylvan Arms folder is somehow worth the money or better.

Just spend the extra money and get the LAW. Do yourself a favor. In our opinion.

  1. Sylvan Arms adapter is actually kinda trash and poorly engineered. No torque specs, the castle nut isn’t stake-able. That little detent bearing is much harder than the metal of the adapter itself which leads to it quickly wearing a groove into the adapter and it no longer functioning as a detent.

  2. No offense, this is a terrible review for these folders….. you can’t have guys with soft baby hands explaining gun stuff. And if you shoot the gun open for one you’re not gonna get a second round… and 2 it’s not safe for either one. If you wanna fire a gun with a folding stock get a piston driven gun

  3. LMAO… You stooges have no clue. Just a couple of gun snobs . You people try to trash anything that's not overly priced. I have a sylvan folder and it's awesome.

  4. ALL these folders are all potential gravediggers on an actual combat rifle.
I have one, and I know.
Fun on a range toy, or depending on your risk tolerance, possibly a truck gun, but when Cartel bullets begin to smack into your momma’s car door, I think you’ll want a conventional buffer tube.

  5. I own both as seen in my picture. The Sylvan works, but the Law Tactical is the better folder. I’ve never hit my knuckle with the Sylvan charging a weapon. The Sylvan will launch the buffer and spring across the room if opened too aggressively and the buffer is oriented in a certain way. The law won’t. The only draw back to the law is that it can be over torqued to the receiver and won’t come off without some serious work(made a video about it). I simply added a QD end plate to my law or use the QD’s on the SBa3 since the one on the bottom isn’t practical. The law is the better product over all. You get what you pay for.

  6. The SA version is junk. I had one on my build and in a class it failed on me multiple times, to the point I could get the failure to happen simply by smacking my stock. Maybe it was a lemon, maybe not, but is it worth the chance? Do yourself a favor and buy once, cry once. Get the LAW.

My SA has been replaced by a LAW 👍
