Let’s just change adulthood back to 21. Over the years, we’ve been slowly raising things back to 21 stripping 18-21 year olds of adult status. Tobacco is now 21. You’ve had to be 21 to drink alcohol for nearly four decades. You have to be 21 to buy a handgun, smoke recreational MJ, or visit a casino in many states. Although, not a rule enforced by the government, you can’t rent a car until 21 and fees are higher for under 25s. Before 1971, you had to be 21 to vote. We’ve made it clear that 18 year olds are still adolescents, which is true in many ways.

So I agree, Under 21s should be banned from buying guns, but let’s agree that 21 is now the official age of adulthood and let’s amend the 26th Amendment.

So when an 18 year old joins the military, they cannot touch any weapons nor have any training until they're 21 or does the age of enlistment also raise along with the voting age? Still waiting on that one

Raise the age limit but they won't ban them… Smh. These politician's net worths are in the millions while average americans are struggling to get by with inflation, gas prices, food shortages, housing so high people are going homeless. And these politicians just smile in our face on camera and tell us they care about what we want but they don't. They have no issue pocketing millions in taxes that could be used for social programs and they sleep just fine accepting blood money from the NRA while CHILDREN are being shot to death in SCHOOLS. You can't go anywhere without a mass shooting happening, school, church, grocery store, hospital, events, etc etc. God's wrath will come raining down on America just wait.

Yes raisng the on buying guns will work cause we all know in highschool no one drank because they could not till they were 21. Oh yeah it was just 5 or 6 guys in my school but it keep the rest of us from drinking.

IMO the drinking age is 21 so I believe noone under 21 shouldbe able to drink, go to war or be able to by any gun. Most 18 year olds donot have the mindset to handle these things at that age.

But they can go off to die carrying an M16/M4.

Time to raise the enlistment and selective serving age to 21 make 21 the legal age for everything don't Cherry pick it.

The problem is not only guns. The problem is this nation is like a wounded animal. We have become so accustomed to death suffering and pain that we act out badly at one another. At anyone different not like us we fear. We are living in too much fear. We might be dead tomorrow so we do not see a future. We need leaders to inspire us and show us the way forward and we need hope no matter how hard that is. The world needs hope. We need to be the world's hope. After World War Two we became that for a time to the world. We need to be United like never before because we are not going to last if we do not. At one-time this county was great. It had a great vision even if we fell short. We did not give up or into the darkness. We stood for what was right. We were the walking tall green giants of the world. Now we need to be that again. We lost our way in the darkness. It is time the bring this nation back into the light. You have to go through hell to get to heaven they say. We can get there to heaven in this nation together again. United like never before no matter the race color religion or creed. The only thing that should matter is we are all Americans and we all came from many nations. We are all emigrants. The great American experiment is over. We have proven in the past we can live in peace. We can work together for a better tomorrow. We have to do this or all is lost for our children. We lost our way in the darkness and it is time we shine that light once again on the world. We can do anything we put our completely United minds to. We can not let the leaders of darkness chaos and discord like Trump, Putin, and Xi destroy this nation. We must raise up to the light of Lady Liberty that she shines down on us.
