When starting a night vision set up, one of the first places you might consider is your optic. I have chosen the EOTech EXPS-3 for my set up and in this video I will explain why.

  1. Biggest con for me was the auto shutoff/battery life. I wouldn’t use this on a home defense rifle (agree with you).

I had a bump in the night, grabbed it, hit the up arrow several times, no reticle. I spent 10 seconds fussing with it before it came on. This happened more than once.

  2. 14.5 is honestly my favorite length and it’s been putting in the work for 30 years. The center of balance is back near the barrel nut so that’s helpful for when you start adding lights, lasers, suppressors and other devices. It’s honestly the best knight fighter barrel length if you can handle the extra weight because it gives you a little bit extra velocity and rail space.
