  1. I have one of these. Central knob is for rapid focusing.
For magnification there's a lateral right side pad.
Lenses are pretty nitid and thus only 42 mm diameter, they offer remarkable light gathering.
In big magnification expect a powerful darkening of the images. it works fine until , say, 3/4 of the range. It is good for day vision. No flares, no colored images, just nitid and clear.
very good binocular for price !

  2. Good binocs, but the ill-fitting case has NO strap. As a result of this, I dropped them and the lenses became misaligned. Fortunately, I found out that you can peel off the rubber coating and access the collimating screw. Problem solved, but I'm still looking for a strap for the case.

  3. The center focus knob purpose is not to adjust magnification as indicated at 0:50secs… "So you can zoom in up to eight times your normal view"… totally incorrect statement. These are 8x binoculars, so they have a fixed magnification of 8x.
