  1. Barrett had the Tailhook on sale for Black Friday. That was lucky because they were one of the few places that had stock… Mine is on a MI folder, I like it.

    Sometimes I'll put some tape around my detents so I can chuck them up in a dremel to dress the ends with some sandpaper to help along the break in.

    For the bolt hold open, I usually use a T25 security Torx bit in a screwdriver handle. The hole in the end is the perfect size to hold the roll pin for starting. After it is through the BHO, I switch to a plain punch (or a non-security hex bit if that's what I have) to drive it home. It's easy enough I skip the tape now and I've never felt the need to buy the special punch.

    The easiest to screw up part of an AR lower build is installing the trigger guard which is why I buy only integrated trigger guard lower receivers. Luckily the BRN180 has an integrated trigger guard.
