After being back-ordered for 13 months it finally arrived. I had been on the “Notify Me When Available” list of about 10 different online gun companies for that whole time, so when I received an email from Cornerstonearms.com that they had one available, I jumped on it immediately. Five days later it arrived. Thank you Cornerstone Arms! I’ve never been so excited about a gift for myself. The next step was I had to learn how to shoot it without being terrified. That’s when I brought in help from my ex-military friends to walk me through it. I also took a 5-hour’ Introduction to the AR-15′ class at Triangle Shooting Academy in Raleigh, NC. The class was outstanding and I highly recommend that all inexperienced new AR-15 owners receive some type of formal education on it if possible. It’s a gun that should be respected, but you shouldn’t fear it. The BCM AR-15 RECCE 16 is an amazing platform. Check out this video to watch the unboxing. This is meant to be an unboxing video only. I plan to follow up with a review video after I have plenty of experience operating it. Other videos on my channel show it in action. I was not compensated for this video.

  1. You'll love it! I got lucky at the beginning of all of the craziness early 2020. A local gun shop had one on order and he made me aware that it was on it's way and I just went ahead and put a deposit on it to secure it when it arrived. So three days later he let me know it had made it and I went picked it up. I haven't seen another one since in my local shops. There's been plenty of BCM complete lowers around but no uppers or rifles. I probably spend way too much time in gun shops but you have to or miss opportunities that don't come often these days sadly. I know you'll enjoy it congratulations on getting what you wanted.

  2. Nice unboxing! Enjoy it and kudos for getting some owner familiarization and safety in right away. BCM is very reputable brand and it's great you were patient instead of settling for a lower cost option. Also the Recce is a perfect platform to add accessories to or configure it to your liking. If you find the handguard is too hot to hold onto, I recommend buying BCM's MCMR rail panels – has a nice grippy texture and offers heat protection. I have a video of it on my channel if you want to check it out. Subscribed, have fun and be safe!

  3. That's the fist AR-15 derivate you've owned? Well done, I'd argue that BCM supplants the Colt/FNH standard. People in the comments are faulting you for 1:14 in spite of your clarification moments later and the lack of initiation, which is unfair to you. It's unfortunate that we'd be at each other's throats, especially when grabbers want us divided

  4. excellent rifle. now go spend big money on a quality LPVO and take some classes from some certified dudes. trex arms makes a decent chest rig for the price so u can practice reloads and have a way to carry mags into class. remember, if u dont train, your rifle will be someone elses rifle if they want it
