Here’s a short video of my slug gun. It has the Shurshot synthetic stock, a fluted and pinned barrel, a weaver rail for optics and a Nikon Prostaff scope mounted with Warne rings. Outstanding slug gun!

Overpriced 870 should have bought savage 220
Can I change the barrel to a short one?
Get a "chicken pad" for your shoulder when doing those range sessions.
Hi! Nice gun btw. Are you using any choke in your gun in the video? Can you shoot using 2.75 regular 12 ga buckshot ammo using that gun? I'm planning to get one for HD only.
Does it come in 20ga?
Does the shotgun return to zero after removing the barrel for cleaning?
What size ring mounts did you use?
Did that stock slow down the recoil on the gun????
Just got mine! I can't wait to try it out
Try lightfields and a mildot scope off shooting sticks 6 and under is easily doable 200 yards
Is your scope a 3×9 or smaller , I ask because I am going to get one of these . Thank you .
I stay in Illinois I use my backyard for a range lol
Do you use this for deer
Nice quality setup. Surprisingly comfortable and very accurate shotgun as the traditional 870 everyone loves. I prefer the Nikoplex instead of BCD and I use Premier Accutip Slugs with this exact model.
I'm going to pick up my 870 Supermagnum 28" tomorrow. I'm getting a 23" slug barrel for it also for slaying hogs in Estonia and I'll put a rail and a red dot sight on top of it. I already ordered the Hogue stock kit for too. Your weapon is a very nice looking package I have to admit. That long fluted barrel looks good and probably gives pretty nasty velocities as well 😉
What size Warn rings did you use? Can you get away with low or do you need medium/high. I have a Leupold UltimateSlam 3×9-40mm which looks to be similar in size to your Nikon Prostaff.
Just bought one! Thanks for the video!!
Nice video.
Nice gun. My question is…can you also shoot normal bird shot out of the rifled barrel? I have read that it is not recommended.
Wish I could afford it
Does the pistol grip help with recoil?
cantilevered barrel is much better than pinning…if you take the barrel off the scope stays zeroed with the barrel…
It was my first time mounting a scope, and it was no problem.
are the scopes easy to mount? I just bought a rifled barrel and scope combo. I thought it came premounted on the barrel, but after looking at yours, i dont think it does. I also got a stock/forend like yours(black)with a mag extension.
I would call back and tell them it's the screw that pins the barrel on to the receiver on the new model. I went to the web site and the owners manual was for a generic 870 and didn't show the screw. I searched for my owners manual, but I can't find it. Keep trying!
I was wondering if I can order that screw that holds in the barrel on the reciever because I misplaced the one on my gun…… I call remington and they said there is no screw there but I told them there was and they put me on hold and never got back to me
I like Nikon scopes a lot, but the BDC reticle doesn't seem to be necessary on a slug gun. I would go with a 2X7 scope with a normal reticle since most shots will be within 100 yards and you can just put the cross hairs right on the target.
Just purchased my Super Slug thanks for your video. I was wondering what scope you would recommend since you don't like the Nikon. I can't decide on a scope so opinions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks for posting I can't wait to get one of my own.
k good thats what i figured i was reading reveiws and i heard it was one of the most accuarate slug guns . thanks for the video
No. I bought some Warne scope rings and mounted the Nikon Prostaff 2X7 BDC scope myself. It's a pretty sturdy setup. Since most of my shots will be within 100 yards, the BDC reticle was probably a mistake.
Did that scope come on the gun
I would. I can't imagine a better slug gun for deer. With modern ammunition, this gun is very accurate and powerful.
would you recomend this gun over any other slug gun? i was looking at buying this gun for next years deer season . and ive heard alot of good things about it
