  1. Awesome episode with the various AR mods and examples.
I have an early model Noveske Basic w/14.5 barrel and pinned Smith Vortex flash hider that spits out a lot of gas back at me when fired…..what part(s) upgrade do you suggest to reduce the "gas face" ? without messing with the reliability and accuracy…..

  2. As a CT resident I always appreciate the work arounds for shooters subject to ridiculous restrictions… ironically my “other” is slicker than most off the shelf ARs but that’s why they “made” me do so whatever…

11.5” Midwest/Criterion upper with a dead air device pinned to over 12.5. On an Aero lower I did myself with a Hiperfire trigger. A5 system. Bootleg BCG (super soft shooting). SBA4, Rein light, and a GBRS sling. 30+” in length and a Slate Black VFG to fit within CTs little box.

  3. I love guns of all type and kind. My wife thinks I love them more than her.
All the guns and ammo are pretty useless when it comes time for any tyrannical government to wage war against its own people using biological and sysops warfare.
It's happening as we speak, is it not?
When push comes to shove, the populist willing subject themselves to the pressure of being browbeat by our entrenched political leaders.
'They' knew it then and more so now.

To quote a line from an iconic film titled "Animal House"……."May I have another sir………WACK"!

  4. SEAL DAD IS BACK!! YAY COCH!!!

I have 10.5" Pistol with a simple red-dot (home defense/CQC) and a 16" Carbon-15 from Bushmaster that I'm working on setting up as a "recce" setup, so probably a LPVO and bipod, hopefully a fun NFA item in the future 😁

  5. Just my observation. The average AR9 has awful recoil compared to a roughly equivalent 5.56. Something like the JP Enterprises spring can help too a certain extent. Still not great and adds a lot of weight. CMMG's radially delayed bolt has been noted to have lower recoil. It's a little too new to have long term reliability data.

  6. I like a compact quiet package so I have a 300 Blackout with a 10 and a half inch barrel with the Troy Industries PDW stock. I usually have some kind of sight, I go back and forth between a reddot and the Nikon p300. At the moment I just have flip up iron sights a flashlight and a visible green laser. I love running it suppressed with subsonics.

  7. My go too 556n is 12.5" with TR24 1-4× , Top Hat 509T , Cloud OWL and YHM Turbo K . I like having the capability of having both LPVO and Red Dot . I like running Red dot on top so I can keep heads up display. I also run 10" C4 Quad Rails . I love the rigidity and they are only 2oz heavier than MLOK.

My Mini Recce is 12.5" 6ARC with 1-10× , Top Hat 509T , and Cloud Rein Micro . YHM Resonator K is in Jail right now . This 6ARC is super fast , Compact and Lightweight package that can easily reach out to 600 yards. I built this for do all rig . It can handle all my needs / applications. Probably not practical for most people but I really wanted one AR15 that could do everything .
These 2 Uppers I use on 1 Lower that has all Ambi Controls ..

    Colt 723 , Colt 727 and Diemaco C8 are my 3 favorite old school 14.5s ..

  8. Great video Coch. Tactical Hive does great videos with super knowledge transfer. I remember going through the progression of those weapons back in the day. In another life, I used those Colt 9mm SMG's, in a couple of different configurations, professionally for a number of years and loved them! Uber accurate and ultra reliable. We transitioned to 5.56 later but I still have a place in my heart for those. 👍 🇺🇲
