DelTon LIMA AR15 Pistol: When 7 Inches is Enough

Here’s another great AR pistol, the LIMA by DelTon. It is our first DelTon AR review! You might fall over when you hear the low price we paid for these and no we got no special deals. Such is the value for those of us who bought and prepped before the Scamdemic and Riots. Ahh, the good ole days.

Doodle is here too and as usual he gets us rolling in the Bunker. We have too of these compact ARs to discuss and you’ll see improvements we’ve made. But in testing we ran the DelTon LIMA bone stock and we impressed by it. You’ll see snow testing and the Gemtech suppressor in use with the LIMA.

Of course we have to ground things with a real POU discussion; this isn’t our first choice GTW option. Chronograph results are shown. But in terms of value and performance, at least at this price levels, the LIMA is off the charts.

  1. TNP Patreon is where the action is! Lots more videos and action over there…never too late to join and support the workload: https://www.patreon.com/Nutnfancy. And don’t believe the rumors Patreon is shutting down, it isn’t and they’ve supported the work here well. YT is also imperfect and I’m still here too ( so are you)! Here's just some of the comments from TNP Patrons on this video that was posted by ELITE TNP Donors: "Ryan Reese Perfect timing! I’m laying in a hospital bed waiting to be rolled back for a colonoscopy. I was just in the middle of rewatching the PSA AR9 video. 😂thanks for the content Nutn! 5 2mo David Gaines Too bad the scope is a lot more than 7 inches 😂 3 2mo Load reply Christopher Kudulis Ladies and gentlemen, the hardest working man in Show Business… 😊 1 2mo Matt Mcdonnell Doin a workout and watching this, can’t wait for the opv video!!! 1 2mo Andrew Koch The deals on Deltons are legit! I was doing a build and purchased a 16" chrome lined 1×9 twist upper w/o a bolt carrier for $213.00 w/ shipping. It's definitely one of those websites to check in on every so often just to see the sweet deals! 1 2mo David Gaines Posting at 9am eastern as opposed to the typical 2am? Can’t tell if you are up early or up late lol. Thanks for keeping the project rolling! 1 2mo Scout154 Any thoughts on Bear Creek Arsenal 2 2mo Ryan Reese I’ve been interested in hearing about them as well not just from Nutn but the TNP community. An old guy from my work swears by them and he’s built a bunch of their kits but he doesn’t have much of anything got say about their reliability or accuracy. I’m all about cheap stuff so I wouldn’t much checking them out. 2mo Load reply Jbocajs . I love how nutn turns into napoleon dynamite for a few seconds. 2mo The Nutnfancy Project Totally. I love that show. 1 2mo john milochis The Swedish chief steals the show cracks me up 😂😂😂 2 2mo Charles Martel May 2020 “Grey Man USA”: The pistol AR discovers it’s purpose in life. 4 2mo The Nutnfancy Project Isn't that the truth. 1 2mo Todd Strelka Great review. I like the small size for portability. But the sound and concussion help me decide that I can spend my money on something else. That really seems like a great value for an AR pistol though. The Swedish Chef adds some hilarious commentary as always. 1 2mo The Nutnfancy Project He's hilarious. Thanks Todd. 2 2mo Mark Higginson I personally favor a stripped lower that I can pimp out and then pin an upper of choice. 2mo Arthur Krieger Another great AR pistol review Nutn! They're so appealing to me at one level for all the reasons you give, but as I contemplate my next purchase I just keep thinking of YET ANOTHER 16" carbine. Just for my purposes. Maybe once I have a whole safe full I'll just grab one of these bad boys for fun. 2mo Greg Mason Make sure you have at least one AR pistol. Faster target acquisition, lighter, smaller for bag carry, adding a suppressor doesnt make it crazy long like adding one to a 16" rifle. 2 2mo Load 2 replies Outrider950 Myself and most of my buddies have our AR pistol mags stuffed with Magtech 77 OTM‘S not for improved accuracy but for their reliable fragmentation all the way down to 1900fps. 2 2mo The Nutnfancy Project Great choice for all around load. Highly rec'd. 2 2mo Load reply JG Best vid I’ve ever watched on shorties 1 2mo The Nutnfancy Project Thank you much JG! 2mo Greg Mason I recommend against adding lightweight BCGs because they take tuning. I tried it and it took me a bit to get the proper spring and buffer combo to make it run reliably. Focus on .625 barrels, light handguards, stocks, optics mounts, etc. 1 2mo The Nutnfancy Project Wise advice, agree 1 2mo Greg Mason A 7.5" 300 Blk will retain the performance of longer barreled 5.56 guns. I think short barrels is one of the places where 300 Blk makes a lot of sense 3 2mo Tony Davis That whole review I was thinking how would nutn compare the Delton pistol to the SU-16 and he did not dissapoint. 1 2mo Kenny VanCleave I love the Swedish Chef. 1 2mo Red dog 1 Hey Nutn I see a barrett in the background………please tell me it coming up for review!!!!! Nothing says Merica like a big boom. Just saying. 1 2mo Michael Rodman I was thinking the same thing I know a lot of the time the guns or RPG 😂 on the wall are props. Though that kind of looks like it could be a real .50 cal Barrett, it’s one of those guns most people want but never will buy or really can afford to buy, though popular enough to deserve a TNP review. 2mo Nicolas Royston I'm getting a 10.5 Aero Precision pistol built at my local GS! 2mo Ace S Assembled one, no two, of these myself. One in 300 BLK and one in 223. Yes, they’re bit loud. I SAID THEY’RE A BIT LOUD! I also have the Palmetto 10.5”. It’s one of my favorite. Love the vids. Keep it up. 1 2mo Tacticaldoodle I think 10.3/10.5 is my dream length, I've been looking at swapping uppers over to that size. It's crazy how big a diff the extra 3" makes on velocity. 2 2mo Jardine I never had much interest in the AR pistol platform. But with the recent events I have really started to think about the idea of a "truck gun". This would certainly fit the criteria. 4 2mo Jardine What a steal at $400! 4 2mo Load 4 replies Morgan Watts One thing I’ve noticed with my 7.5 SBR is sometimes those MLOK handguards are so slim it’s impossible to attach accessories where you’d want them because they can interfere with hitting the gas block with the mounting hardware. I’ve come to prefer the old reliable quad rails for the short handguards and the MLOKs for the longer ones because you have more real estate to move stuff around. Awesome review and those prices are excellent! 2 2mo Negolfman Is Digital Coyote Seracoat a future option for T.D.’s Delton? 2mo Zachary Plocek When the Swedish Chief makes an appearance I give the vids 11/10. 2 2mo Michael Rodman Great review! When I move to a free state I’m going to get a 7.5-8.5” AR in 300BLK put a can on it and have that be my primary home defense gun. With a short barrel does a adjustable gas block make a lot of difference with the particulates blowing back in your face with a can on it? PS I would like to see a 100 yard test with the Delton though it would be even better if Wyatt would lone you another value 7.5-8.5” AR like a PSA to comparison in accuracy. 2mo Bretti Andrettski Now TD is a native american/swedish chief. It's chef guys. By the way TD you might wanna start eating more of your famous swedish meatballs and pasta so you can fill out that jacket you were wearing at the range. Joking aside, I bought a Del-Ton 16 inch AR a few years back for $429 and it rocks. If I do a pistol definitely will be 10.5-11.5 inches. Always love the reviews from the bunker 2mo Josh Payne Nutn what suppressor covers do you use? I have been looking for a good one 2mo Randall Steen TD is so funny. 2mo Randall Steen Where did he pick that up? My great grandparents are Ole & Lena and you wouldn’t know it. Thanks for that. 2mo Flying W TD – What's your recommendation for paint pens? Sharpie oil based or…? What tip? Super fine, medium, or…? 2mo Tacticaldoodle I haven't found anything that stands up to super hard wear unless you put a sealant on it. Usually something like a sharpie pen with a super fine tip works well, but it's a pain because it takes longer to clean up after. I have that japanese series I like because they go on really accurately, fill really well, and last well enough with deep engravings. You have to touch them up every so often if its' something you're rubbing a lot, but it's so easy I just do that instead. The normal way can even use nail polish, but you have to clean off the surroundings with thinner afterwards, and on black surfaces there's always some white tint left over if it's a porous finish. Being able to just outline it once and rub a little after is easiest. 2mo REUBEN JAMES EDWARDS JR Hey nutn you can use a angled grip on it I got an angle grip on mines and that's legal and you can kind of grabbed that instead and it helps your finger not to overshoot where it needs to be so you don't blow off Ya hand 2mo Tacticaldoodle He doesn't have any in the parts bin. I grabbed some in the pile at least. He's not much of a grip guy anyway 1 2mo Load 2 replies Blake Townsend TD lmao with the chef hilarious 2mo Austin Cobb Yes to the 100 yard test! 2mo Deck Now I am going to paint the engravings on my ar's 2mo Charles New Love my del-ton echo AR. Owned since 2012 and it was a great value. 2mo Micahbraedon Excited to see your take on a 7” AR. I was wondering about a video on something between HPAC and an GTW carry. So a way to carry a small shotgun shockwave etc or a 7” AR with a super compact brace and or folder. Obviously a bag system or coat. Similar to protection details. Or a compact vehicle storage bag. Hiking style carry for backpacks and holsters. For sheepdog use of course. 2mo Andrey Shlyakt I like the AR pistol reviews. Keep them coming fellas! 2mo Ryan Gray I appreciate TD's comedic effort, it really made my day. Oh yeah, the gun is cool too."

  2. This format AR is why you would likely appreciate 300 blk….even after your thoughts in the 300 blk vid.
Still amazing for hunting at medium to short range…..and home defense.

  3. I’ll never buy another del-ton, had this lima pistol and it never did cycle right. Even after I sent it to them they sent it back with the same problem. Did some research and turns out this happens sllot

  4. 7.5" ARs shine in .300 BO with subs, i have a PSA 7.5" 5.56 and i have a PWS CQB on it helps alot, I went 5.56 to be able to shoot cheap ammo but .300 BO is a better option for it

  5. I can appreciate the fun, but in close quarters, I'd rather be running a 300blackout with 110gr black hills load, or up to 150gr, OR simply a 7.62×39. 50 – 200yard, I'd take a 77gr black hills (or equivalent hand loads ). Beyond that I'd really want at min a 7.62×51 load pushing 175gr.. but thats just me.

  6. When using century arms brace do NOT drive it on the buffer tube….heat it up under hot water itll walk right on n stay rock solid when it cools off .. same procedure required to remove it …

  7. Aim Sports sells the same handguard with the aim logo on the right and I now think the midwest logo on the left (same logo as on yours). $55.25 on opticsplanet. The A for the aim logo matches the Aero logo on my lower. I went with yellow on my logos and red/white safety. Diggin the blue and white accents.

  8. 7in ARs have their place. I love mine. Super light, concealable (for an AR), and shoulderable while sitting in a car.

If one is looking to avoid conflict and detection vs be in a fight. It's plenty sufficient and fits the role. Given the distances youd end up engaging at in said scenario. A long walk home in a hostile environment. My personal POU for this configuration..
