  1. Perfect response. You want a beginner rifle, go with AR. When you become a man, upgrade to the AK lol. I’m left handed so despite just loving the AK more in every way, it’s much more comfortable to shoot

  2. While the minutiae definitely matters, I don't think the home intruder is going to be able to really tell whether or not he's being hit with a 5.56/.223 out a 10in barrel or a 7.62 out of a 11.5in barrel.

  3. If you go AR get a piston driven one. Oh and you also can get a 7 to 8 inch 300 Blackout upper that you can swap in at will, uses the same AR Mags, and you can suppress it! AR all the way. Way more versatile.
