I would be curious if your previous trigger would work now without hammer follow now that you have full bolt travel?
Superlative arms adjustable gas blocks are some of the best out there I love mine it works flawlessly and Is super easy to use to, I have seen people who have the highly machines receivers have more tolerance stacking issues than even An Aero precision m4e1 set or Mil spec
Put a superlative arms adjustable gas block on there and call it a day
I have little to no idea about guns — all I know is that what you built looks fkin sick and I want it lol.
Superlative Arms lo-pro adjustable gas block. Ballistic Advantage barrels. Unless you need to shed weight, I really like the Sharps DLC coated BCGs.
That build is beautiful brothah 👌🏽
Holosun has a kit that includes a matching 3X magnifier with the 510c
Get a fixed set screw gas block with an adjustable BCG.
I had a flawless budget ar pistol build for about 500.. I added an adjustable gas block just to be able to run whatever crap ammo I wanted… Sometimes cheaper is better 🤷🏾♂️
its hilarious that strike industries is somehow on a build being called anything but trashy
The few I've done the gas block isn't meant to sit against the shoulder. Feller gauge. I've never used anything but Superlative Arms gb
6.11mm, man were in the U.S. gotta still run imperial measurements.
Like I always say:
There are two types of countries in the world.
1. Countries that use the metric system
And
2.countries that went to the moon.
If you property install the gas block. The block is supposed to be a couple thousands off the shoulder. B4 you tell me I'm wrong look it up
"why is it doing that?" I probably shouldn't have found that as funny as I did😬😅😂🤣
lmfaoo
You put a ton of cheap junk parts in and you’re surprised it didn’t work. Just laughable
Uses trash products from trash companies like Strike industries ect..
Is now surprised when issues arrive.
F’ing nice build man. I want to build an AR pistol but my confidence isn’t there yet. Think I’m just going to get the Daniel defense m18 and their PDW 300blackout. I have their ddm4 v7 pro 18”. So debating if I should add those two babies to the family.. i was planning to get the m18 10.3”, pdw 7” and the v7 p 10.3” lol but I’ve decided to not get the baby off what I already have and just get the other two.. the cousin and nephew lol
The buffer tube and spring can be to “heavy” or “light” and the spring to “stiff” etc etc
The first rounds at the range doesn’t look like it’s getting enough gas. The shells are coming out horizontally. I think they are supposed to eject diagonally. If the gas is all the way up, it must be the buffer and buffer spring.
Had the same issues with mine identical build. Strike sent me a new ring as well needless to say it didn’t fit either. Swapped to a BA block and no issues. Didn’t see the hammer follow with the sharps xpb bolt.
from barrel shoulder to center of gas port 7.46mm. hope that helps you bud
I'm running into these same exact issues on my .223 wylde build.
After trying numerous things and nothing changing I check the gas block holes and essentially have the same lineup issue.
Also on a ballistic advantage barrel
It may not be outta spec, but putting cheap parts together and not understanding the basics will get this to happen. Most people built guns that run, but don't run optimally due to this exact reason. They have various parts from various manufacturers and throw the gas block up against the shoulder and tighten. Wrong. Basics
Thanks for the video. Been having the exact same issues with my build.
Cool video, thanks for showing all good and bad when doing the build. Really helpful
I mean if you want, I'll take it off your hands. Your worries will be gone lol
I personally use the oppressor on my sbr build. I absolutely love it. not a big fan of SI comps. I use it with the venom flash suppressor. From what I am seeing in the video is not the difference in the recoil it is the direction of the recoil. With the added weight and the redirection of the recoil using the oppressor it is blowing it straight back instead of the rise. Have not had good experiences with SI adjustable gas block. I have also had it were the holes were drilled out of spec. I would change the gas block out for a geissele super gas block.
First time ar builders I’d suggest buying a completed upper receiver, and go from there. A lot less room for error
Are you shooting at Flatiron Mtn.? Or are you out East?
Nice 👍🏼 built brother 🔥
So I have been looking your channel for like 1 hour ans just understood it was real weapons ? yes.
I actually got rid of my 300 blackout and built a 7.62×39, both 16" and 11". Zero failures in either. With similar ballistics, x39 having an edge and cost of ammo being an issue I've found that ar platform 7.62×39 seems to have better accuracy than ak platform. Try a x39 build and I think you'll enjoy it a ton…. great video, thanks for posting
Get the AeroPrecision adjustable gas block. They are sister companies. I bet it'll work.
When mine did that the gas block had become lose and shifted back and closed off part of the gas hole
Why dont you just take off the adj. gas block and put on a regular gas block since your running it wide open any way???
Do you have any red dots for sale
What ammo are you running? (Grain, velocity)
Hit the dislike button twice! That's funny. Lmao! 🤣
Man thats part of the reason i dont like the low profile gas block.. i like more the A2 frame gas block.
Mean Looking Build.
As per your question, the barrel shoulder may have been out of spec.
Lighter parts do NOT increase gas volume or pressure sir, if I’m wrong please explain how. From my understanding you can only increase gas pressure by un-restricting your gas system, if there are none, then by increasing the gas port size.
Using lighter weight parts may cycle off less gas but it’s not increasing gas.
You can also drill the gas port bigger, I've had to do that on some of my builds
Unfortunately, I can’t trust SI products when it comes to the mechanics side of weapons. I stay away from them. As for cosmetics, absolutely love their products the offer.
Strike Industries makes a 9mm buffer weight for that pdw as well that's heavier btw
illogical! if port hole was partially obstructed all along , why did it run fine at first ? bottom line 300blk shorties are never overgassed.. is a lower pressure cartridge .. chunk that adj gas block. rather a little gas in the face over jams .. if greatly overgassed you then could use a heavier buffer .. last .. some mags don't work… bullet shape and shorter brass … magpul work and if they don't cut off the inside rib at the top so the round stay straight and that fixes it most of the time… in your case all your issues were leaning under gassed to begin with.. with block wide open .. lastly .. you can make a 300 blk cycle better some time if the gas hole in the barrel is too small .. drilling it one size bigger can fix that issue … make sure you put a rod in the barrel when drilling so you don't go too deep and hit rifling .. my 2c .. oh.. and anything under 10.5 is usually a pita to get to work anyways… then put a can on and start over as pressures will change drastically due to short dwell time. … good luck!
What ammo do you use at the range. So hard to get ammo 300 and 380 is what I need.
