Really disappointed with this when I opened it and found it has to be installed with this particular barrel nut. I had already installed a standard barrel nut and gas system. Now, I'm going to have to undo and redo all of it just to put what I thought was the finishing touch on my build.
I spoke to someone on Strike industries facebook. They said the max torque on the barrel nut is 45ft lb. But i cant get the gas tube to align it unless i use all 5 shim that comes with…. Ive been having 5 inch spread at 100 yard target ever since. Never thought it might be the barrel nut. I tried so many parts now i have 2 rifles now lol. But their customer support is very very nice.
Absolutely the worst instructional video I have ever seen and YouTube hosts some bad ones. No Aeroshell33 anti seize grease was used on the barrel nut. Using an expensive optic to bridge your pic rail for alignment???? Really. They make tools for that instead of possibly ruining an expensive optic. No reaction rod was used to support the barrel extension so all that torque was placed on the weakest link in the system the extension pin possibly ruining the barrel and seriously degrading accuracy. Really Strike, if you are going to put out an instructional video do it right. Otherwise your just making your company look bad and contributing to all the rest of the DERP on the internet. I guess there's the right way and then there's the Strike way.

How hot does this rail get when firing? Will i need to purchase a rail wrap so I don’t burn my hand?
Blue 15.5” goes on my build tomorrow! 😭🎉

What is that optic/mount?
Will this rail work on a G&G ARP 556 airsoft gun? If I’m not mistaken it should.
very good video
Do you need the strike barrel nut for install or will other brand barrel nuts work fine?
What type of sight is that??

Without gasblock 🤔🤔🤔
What kind of sight is that ?
I’ll be using an irons only setup for my next rifle build. Is this rail strong enough to withstand flexing?
Just installed this on a new build and I am hooked. This handguard is Noooice!
I had to check the comments, I knew someone would be bitching about the proper way to use to torque wrench.
Wrench tool should be 90 degrees to the torque wrench, or you will apply more torque than what you set on the torque wrench.
