My review of the Caldwell brass catcher. This thing is a great tool for keeping your brass from flying everywhere. I’m really liking it, especially now that we have snow on the ground. This keeps the brass from getting lost in the snow. If you have an AR you should get this accessory!

  1. I have been using mine for 5 yrs now. There is nothing better. You can buy additional pic rail attachments. I have them mounted on all of my pic rail rifles.

  2. I just purchased 1. It works great and is about the best I've found. Tried several different catchers and this works best for me. I'd definitely recommend.

  3. Did the location and the height of the scope affect the use of the power ring at all? Do you know what Scope mount that is by chance? My current setup is far too low to the rail with the design of sightmarks scopes having a boxed housing for all the controls and the catcher bumps into it. Your mount seems to raise enough to clear the catcher without getting too high off the rail.

  4. This is very similar to the 3Bucc design that's been around for a number of years, it works great, I ordered extra mounts so I have a mount on all of my AR's and just move the bag. It looks like Caldwell looked at the 3Bucc design and figured out a different way to do the same thing. I'm guessing the biggest difference is that 3Bucc is made in USA and more than likely the Caldwell is Chinese. You can Google the 3Bucc, or Brownells carries them.
