Most people want to have their Rifles shoot 1 inch at 100 yards… But not chuke…. He is impressed if he can shoot a 2 foot by 2 foot target. That made my day. Lmao.
As a fellow Eotech collector you should be able to mount your 512 further up unless the battery base is hitting the top of your magpulhandguard? I never owned a Magpul HG so im assuming it's rubbing or hitting that part when you try to mount it further up. I specifically got a 518 lower 1/3 height so I could run it with old school handguards and still retain my BUIS. I never had a problem with clearance with my 512's running them all the way forward with the battery compartment over hangs the handguard with multiple Troy drop in and free float rails. If anything just replace that handguard you should have plenty of room for your BUIS. I agree 1000% if SHTF I'd take any of my AA running Eotech's over my EXPS3's since you can find AA's anywhere. I’ve had my 512 for 14 years and on a half dozen platforms, with all types of conditions and lots of shooting with both 5.56 and 762.51 and it’s been flawless.

Well that and it's design has been proven in some of the toughest conditions.
Nice set-up on your AR Chuke. The EOtech's hologram can take getting use to if you wear glasses. Well for me it did anyways. Stay cool Chuke.👍
