That noise is obviously sometype of rubbing on a surface that has been cnc machine.

It's the spring that makes that noise and the buffer. They're really cheap. Thats why it makes that noise. Switch to armaspec or a super 42 and a heavier buffer

I purchased mine for $550 with the SBA3 brace and I added a Strike Industries charging handle and angled foregrip and bought a 34 round mag from Ammend2 in total I spent with shipping $650 and that was an amazing deal! Love the pistol, it was my first AR9, but definitely isn't my last.

Lund like the buffer tube needs polishing.

That noise is the charging handle. Swat with another brand and see if it still does it. We have some Colt AR-15's that make that same noise.

Does it take glock mags?

Have you ever used a Accu wedge in your ARs ? I think they help with bolt wear. Just a thought

I'm surprised this gun isn't sooooopid cheap.

Actually the longer barrel does create more energy hence, more lethal. Not rifle ammo comparable but still.

Just combined the FM9 3" upper I saved for, with the FM9 9mm lower. Put an affordable reflex sight, SBA3 brace & single point sling on and added a Magpul hand stop. Went to the range yesterday and I absolutely LOVE it! Oiled it before the first rounds and it shot 300 rnds flawlessly, even after market mags that FM doesn't recommend. This is the first firearm in ages that didn't jam during first use.
As for the sound it makes when the bolt cycles back, it just adds character. Foxtrot Mike really nailed it with this pistol

That sound could be from the charging handle sliding against the buffer tube

What do you mean by radial delay?

I bought on a couple months ago from the marine px. It was like $760, giving the gun grabbing pandemic we are in I was ok with it. My gun runs flawlessly and mine also has that weird noise in the charging handle. I put a t1 micro on it and it is a tac driver. Mine didn't come with the front finger grip so I put a magpul on mine and I have a different arm brace but over all I enjoy mine. Plus the same ammo same mags as my carry is the major reason I bought it.

Great vid. Built my first AR 9 last year with FM products lower and upper. Got their 5” complete upper and swapped out the rail to their 5.5” rail and added a kaw valley slim. Have the SBA3 and sylvan arms folder on mine. Love it. Want the Odessa 9 can now to add to it.

My research led me to FM products due to other owner reviews and their LRBHO. Their customer service is amazing also. IME
