Streamlight Wedge first day honest review

This is my first gear review on YouTube and my first day review of the Streamlight Wedge. Initial thoughts, and room to grow. But I think Streamlight is going to have a hard time keeping these on the shelves around the $80-90 mark. Anymore I’m going to say it’ll need more features.

Great light under $95, anymore than that you’re paying too much.

Things I’d like to see for $150 price point:
Battery level indicator
Strobe feature
More time at 1000 lumens (gimme the juice!)
Glass break
Color matched lanyard (petty I know)
Rear activated switch
USB silicone cover (let’s keep it clean)
Allen key in the box with the light.
Red low light option to save night vision
Side press button to switch through features or settings.

As a designer and UX enthusiast, competitive shooter and EDC gear nut, great first run. I look forward to the future of this product and next generations. You’re going to sell a million of these.

  1. You changed my mind about preordering one. You’re right, Sreamlight needs to refine the flashlight and may be add a lower lumen,150, 300 and a constant 1000 option. I like my EDC pocket light to line up perfectly for a $100 job. Your suggestions of a glass break/ self defense bezel crown, separate charge indicator and a charging port gasket to keep dirt out of it, makes sense. I hope the manufacturer is listening and until then, I’ll wait before ordering one. Thanks for your post.
