  1. I'm sorry I'm never getting an AR-15 and here's why:

The Ar-15 or as I will call it for the rest of the review "The Garbage Rod" because the AR-15 fanboys get riled up but the Garbage Rod is very unreliable and one to not get. First off the Garbage Rod needs to be cleaned and maintained a lot, that means you can't drag it through dirt, sand, the ocean, ETC and expect it to work, nope it just jams on you. As for greasing you need really specific grease or it won't work. I would use petrol oil on a rifle and it would still work, not the Garbage Rod. The gas tube is also very finicky and would easily get dirty meaning you need to take the rifle apart, clean it and put it back together.

The Garbage rod has too many parts to it, I know some of these would be beneficial but a good rifle doesn't need many parts to make it work like any fancy forward assists or anything which makes the rifle very complicated. Plus the Garbage Rod uses fancy sights and railings which in a creative sense is good but for me, I'm just fine with a plain rifle. With the bolt I find this kind of finicky as well combined with the gas system meaning if you threw the rifle like a javelin, it will break. The Garbage rod is a delicate and overcomplicated rifle. A good rifle bolt should work like this, you fire, tilt the bolt up, pull back ejecting the round, push the bolt back feeding the new round in and turning the bolt down and you're ready to fire. The Garbage Rod doesn't let you do that.

I find the round the Garbage Rod uses the 5.56X45mm round too small and doesn't offer enough stopping power on its own. You have 30 of these rounds which is the only plus but one well place round is all that is needed to take down the target and not multiple rounds at once. The ideal round for these civilian marketed rifled would be the 7.62 лгж (7.62X54mmR) It's a much better round that offers enough stopping power without it being too big like a French Lebel 8mm round. Plus you only need 5 of these in stripper clips so you don't need to carry extra magazines on you but just a bunch of stripper clips.

In short the Garbage Rod needs to be replaced with a much more robust and reliable civilian rifle that feeds from 5 7.62 rimmed rounds. (It can also be used as a javelin with the spike bayonet attached if you want.) Reply if you agree or disagree and give me your thoughts.

  2. Great job explaining the ins and outs for a newbie like me. Just bought my first AR, still haven't fired it as yet. Trying to soak up as much info as I can before squeezing the trigger. Thanks again, well done.

  3. Your videography is terrible. Back up further so I can see the entire shop. Also move faster during your demo. If you’re out of breath doing this video you’re trying too hard.

  4. Thank you for never pointing the gun at the camera it really shows you know and have a ton of respect for a fire arm and it earns my respect very quickly also the info you put out really made me not fear an ar15 (in terms of buying) as much with the basic break down so thank you you earned sub

  5. This was super informative buddy. I just recently put a DPMS Pan 15 on layaway, first Gun ever dependently owned. With that being said this helped me feel more comfortable with my new friend.

  6. My old man ( he was an airborne ranger ) was talking to me about the AR-15 and he told me it was called an "assault rifle". (I know my shit when it comes to rifles) And I told him, "no it doesn't, it's stands for ArmaLite Rifle" I schooled him 😀

  7. i just bought my first ar-15 and as always my bg check is held. can never just buy a damn gun and leave with it that day, so annoying. they shouldn't be called assault rifles, if anything they should be called AR-15 defense rifles.
