Shooting accurately at extended range is the 5.56’s only advantage?
So significantly better terminal ballistics, and especially with good home defense ammo, significantly less over penetration from missed shots in building materials are not advantages?
A 124gr 9mm travels at over 1600fps out of a 16” barrel, so more than half, if you’re comparing apples to apples.

Can you drop a echo trigger or a binary trigger into the angstadt UDP 9mm???
For close to medium range a .300blk ar15 pistol over an ar9. And for medium to long range a .300blk/5.56 ar15 rifle over an ar9 any day. But while I do have a .300blk AR pistol I do enjoy my Ruger PC Charger which is a takedown for either when on the road in a bag or for my wife’s home defense package because she likes the lighter weight and less recoil. So if you’re a man wanting an all around home defense/hunting firearm get a .300blk ar pistol, if you’re a smaller framed man or woman maybe try the ar9 for close range defense, every pdw choice depends on the person and circumstances.
