My Aero Precision 300 blk 10.5" build was running subs perfectly (no can, no adjustable gas block) but when I ran supers the recoil was sharp and painful. I installed a heavier spring and now the supers are running smoothly and subs don't fully cycle without a can. But with a can, they run flawlessly. Perfection! That's exactly what I wanted.
If only they can figure out why there ar10 stripped lowers were made to spec…. You have to bend the mag release catch in to make it work…
Also check your ejection pattern. A properly gassed AR should eject brass at the 3-4 o'clock position.
Buy an ak.. skip the whole ordeal 😉
