All guns are designed for killing, if you want to end gun violence, end poverty. More people are murdered with hammers and baseball bats than assault rifles. Stop acting in fear and actually think before you speak.
If more guns equals more death, why is the murder rate at an all time low, yet gun ownership at an all time high? It's almost like you are making a bad faith argument. Seems reasonable. If you can prove that you are a total wimp like Miss Graham, you should be allowed to own an AR15 for self defense.
Personally, i think the general public SHOULD be able to fire an assault rifle if they want. I know i would like to fire one….. But i don't believe in the general public having assault rifles in their homes. They should only be available in shooting ranges where they can be used and then returned into safe storage at the shooting range. No need to have one in the home or for personal ownership.
You want to shoot an assault rifle, go to a shooting range.
You want to defend your home? Put up security cameras around the outside of your home and have them in plain view so everyone can see them immediately even if they just glance at your home and they will already know they are on camera.
Anyway, a decent shotgun would be perfect for home defence if ya don't want the cameras about.

Is there anything in existence, almost universally agreed upon as ridiculous & stupid, that Lindsay Graham will not do to prove to nobody in particular that he is Macho Man? Remember a photo of Mitch McConnel from March 6, 2014, showing McConnell at CPAC holding a hunting rifle as though it was a broom dipped in sewer slime? Graham would likely have the same facial expression on his face, but still ask to have the photo taken to prove that he too is an intrepid buffoon.
A.R. 15‘s, modern sporting rifle‘s, are not designed for war. No soldier would take an AR 15 to battle with him. If you use it for more than just some defense, hunting or shooting as a sport, as we found out in Las Vegas, the barrels will melt the firing pins will break they’re not made for military use. That’s why that guy had so many of them up in the window in Las Vegas because you can’t shoot them that long. They’re just a semi auto modern sporting rifle. But no matter, we have to go to back to the United States Constitution that says the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. That means that you can’t mess with it, it’s a right. The NRA gives him the money for him to fight to keep our constitutional rights intact.
If somebody started shooting at him he would turn tail and start running with his tail between his legs
