I hate the people who go on avout their little tools. If I bought every little tool along the way it would take years for them all to ship.
Lock yourself in the smallest bathroom you have. Put down the lid and make sure to plug all the drains. Made it easier to find that darned pin.

Is the pivot detention pin pointed tip 1st?
I didn't have an allen wrench on hand big enough so I used a punch and it worked out, thanks for the inspiration though.

Son of a B, I just lost a pin because it got launched somewhere. I forgot how I did it last time so easy, think this is how I did it.
Just get the tool. It's worth it. After chasing the detent around my office 6 times & somehow not losing it, I went on Amazon & bought the tool.
If this is your first time putting together a lower receiver let me recommend buying 4 extra sets of springs and detents. TRUST me!
Finally I got it after 3 or 4 times of the pin flying across the room aha

Based on what a PITA it is get it installed, never…
Now I find this…those little detent pins make some powerful little projectiles!
stupid question but how do you remove the pin.
