FINALLY!! After 2 years of an intermittent button, I got fed up and repaired my flashlight! Special thanks to Patreon member and Matco truck owner for sending me this upgrade kit!

** please note: there are many newer Stinger repair kits that do NOT work with the older models like mine. There are also older model Stingers that have a smaller body and will not accept this upgrade kit. Please double check the age and style of your stinger flashlight before purchasing a kit for this upgrade and repair!!

For the kit I showed here with new projector housing:

  1. Nice rebuild. I will definitely be looking at streamlights. Was that a silkie Bantam or Polish chicken? Just curious, since I was in 4H and raised Rhode Island Reds.

  2. Thank you so much Faye. I will have to look into Streamlight. I always have a couple flashlights in my car for customers and want ones that work every time. If yours has worked that hard for that long and can be repaired, that would be perfect for my purposes

  3. Give it to your Snap On Rep let him send in and they will repair it for Free they get some kind better warranty if you sent in to stream light I sent mine I got back a brand new one back

  4. Cool vid! Hey do you work on Diesels also? I was a gas engine tech for 20 years and been working on diesels the last 8 years. I am also ASE certified and Ford certified. I don't work in a open to the public shop anymore but I work in fleet for a large overhead electric company. To me working on Diesels is easier. Great job and keep turning those wrenches!

  5. Yep I would watch you fix anything. Im attached to my tools as well. My first purchase off the the tool truck back in 1985 was a set of 3/8 drive sockets. Still have them. Thank you Faye you always make my day brighter

  6. Streamlight legit lifetime warranties their flashlights. You can look up local repair places or ship it to them for the people that don't want to take the time to replace stuff themselves. Had a buddy at work take his streamlight to the local uniform shop where the repair center is and they fixed his og strion from the 80s.

  7. I’m just wondering why is there dislikes if there’s nothing wrong with the video. Maybe it’s some who Is jealous of your chickens!

Ps nice video I was thinking about doing that to my stream light but don’t have the parts so I just wait till I get them to do it my self

  8. Nice work rebuilding the flashlight. Now you need to finish it off with a custom paint job. Possibly something with a chicken theme. Feathers, beaks, eggs. I'm sure you can come up with something cool.

  9. Love love love streamlights. They take a beating and shine like the sun. But the button wearing out is the only problem. You’re not alone faye! Fortunate my tool guy will warranty mine when it comes time haha.

  10. Pop, can I have the old guys? 🙂 Way to reuse Faye! Reduce, reuse, recycle. Since it's from 2012, it could be brighter because it puts out more. The tech has advanced a lot since then. The battery might even last longer…

  11. I've a small Surefire flashlight that haves the same problem, but as afaik… there're no parts kits; but that one now seems to work as brand new, and sure that the battery life last more than 1h and a half, looks good for work.

  12. Hey Faye, when I was a little kid one of my favorite jobs was the hold the flashlight for my dad. Being a little kid and being me I would daydream or whatever and my dad would say “can you see that” I’d say no then he would say” well either can I keep flashlight straight” thanks for making me think of that 🐔🐔🐔👍
