  1. I assume the torque specs for the barrel are listed with that tool in mind, because that's not how torque wrenches work. You're putting the torque on point a couple inches away from the thing actually being torqued, which makes the reading on the wrench low.

  2. I only just got my first gun (an AR 15) about a month and a half ago but I’m already getting into all the mods and attachments and stuff, I have yet to go to a range and actually shoot it since I don’t have much ammo and won’t do so until I have a comfy amount of ammo, but I’ve also been looking into what other parts I could buy like maybe a better hand guard and maybe barrel and bolt carrier group even tho I doubt I’d use up my rifle all that much but debate on whether or not to actually just go ahead and buy this kit so I can already have all the tools at least on hand to use in the future since I’m not sure what will come with incoming Biden administration in the way of weapons and accessories bans, anyways good luck on the new baby and everyone good luck and wish y’all good health

  3. Wow you know i saw this kit online a little while ago and I was thinking about buying it but I didn’t and now I’m regretting it lol. At the time I didn’t realize it had all of the little things and details you mentioned. I’ll definitely have to pick one up before my next build, seems super fricken handy like it’d make my life a lot easier. Thanks for sharing this!

  4. The kit is cool, but you definitely need a proper bench. Chuck that folding table…lol. That room you're in has plenty of room for a bench on your right side. Getting the wifey to buy off is the challenge though.

  5. Please stop calling them AR's/AK's! we(some 2A buddies and I) would like to try a liberal tactic. If we can get everyone to start calling them SP's "sporting rifles" then pretty soon there wont be any assault rifles for them to buy back.

  6. Congratulations on the little one…
$200.00 for a gun tool box to work on AR’s….hahaha….
1 flat blade screwdriver, 8oz ball peen hammer (Rock will work), and 1/8” punch and setting in dirt = AK tool kit Hahaha….

  7. Awesome video, thank you! I bought one of the Real Avid tool kits recently and am super happy with it. Didn't even realize the "full" capability of the set until watching this video, so now have gone from happy to ecstatic =) Now I need to get a table and mirror your setup. Very nice setup. Thanks again!

  8. The Real AVID kit definitely is NOT worth the money, for someone who respects tools and the things they work on. Maybe these are fine for a weekend DIYer, who isn't too serious and doesn't know the difference, and probably won't use it more than twice, but these are manufactured overseas just like the junk from Wheeler. And by overseas, I don't mean Germany. There is a reason why there is an aluminum reaction rod and torque wrench included in this kit, and you only pay 250 bucks. Build your own tool kit, it's just as rewarding as building your own gun (properly).

  9. I stumbled across your video, which I am extremely grateful for. I have had this kit now for about a month and learned things about it I didn't know. Thank you so much for the information. I also agree about the plastic picks, although mine have proven to be durable, so far.

  10. I would read the directions for using the torque wrench with that assembly tool carefully. Using it in the improper configuration, probably like he showed it, will lead to an erroneous reading and over-torquing.

  11. From someone whose about to start building their AR I’m super happy with the fact your links are great it’s not hard . This is an AMAZING first setup and it’s gonna be cheaper then anything else I put time into and I’ll be able to take it places . I really appreciate videos like this. I’m gonna keep looking into other videos and try to find more links to parts and stuff !!
