  1. The AE were 25 and the vmax were 30 for 50. With the popularity it should be way cheap and gold dot was to release the personal defense round that should be plentiful now. It was not released with the ruger 57. It be nice to see it affordable.

  2. Own an ar57 that takes a fun 50 round top magazine. Catches brass out of bottom mag well into a mt ar magazine. Super nice. Have had it for 5 years and plan to keep it. Shoots excellent with 223 silencer.

  3. The P90 is awesome but, for the same reason I wouldn't buy that, I wouldn't buy this because of the round itself. Nothing against the round itself but, the price and availability. Unless something changes about it's price and availability, I don't think it's worth buying. Like I said, absolutely nothing against the round itself because, it seems to be a great round.

  4. what you call a "radial delay blowback" because of the spring inside the bolt carrier, is actually used by piston ar15's to help unlock the bolt in such a way that it does not scratch and wear out the inside of the upper receiver. One way to slow down the blowback is to stop making the bolt carriers lighter. In fact if the spring inside the bolt carrier is too strong it will prevent the bolt from locking up properly. Jim Sullivan, one of the ar15 designers, hints at a couple of his ideas in an interview on YouTube.

  5. All rounds of any caliber are gonna become really expensive, because the Dems are gonna go after ammo in general. My prediction: Ammo will go underground and be purchased like cocaine.

  6. The 5.7 was designed for a specific purpose which few people in the real world have use for. If you are a collector & have to have one then the FNC is the one you should buy. In the end your 2 reasons for not buying one are completely valid . And as the ammo issue hasn't changed since the day this round was released it will only get worse, save your money.

  7. Even before this craziness I don't recall ever seeing 57 ammo anywhere. It's the main reason I never bought a Ruger 57. It's to the point of ill buy ammo before buying the gun for it. I'm looking at 10mm 1911s atm

  8. You are a better shooter with that rifle indeed. No recoil and light weight. Target acquisition is faster, and the rifle is steady. Overall a light frame increases your dexterity. Don't fool yourself. I dropped 5 deer in 20 sec with my 300 black out. I got witnesses. I am military-trained so that probably had something to do with it as well. Either way, anyone is going to shoot better with these small framed 30 caliber rifles.

To be proficient with a full size 16in barrel AR you need these stats
    Perception: 45
    Toughness: At least 20
    Dexterity: 32
    556: 30
    Assassination: 25
    Strength: 50
    Precision shooting: At least 37
    Athletics: 25
    Weaponsmith 15

This will make you war ready, but for hunting you can get away with a toughness of 15. Your Athletics don't need to be that high either. Maybe a 10 since you are going to be in a tree all day.

  9. $1.00 a round is nothing to when i was buying 454 rounds for my 454 casull back in the 1980s and 1990s for the only ones company was making them was freedom arms and for a box of 50 would sale from $120 – $140 a box thats like $2.40 to $ 2.80 that is if there was any in stock so at $1.00 a round is nothing to pay for.
