  1. 6.5 CM is a superior target round for sure. 308/7.62×51 is a more versatile military cartridge. AP, API, explosive projectiles, etc. are all available in .308". This is not so true for 6.5CM. Also heavier rounds are available for 308. Shooting through soft skinned vehicles I'd rather have 308 or my AP 308. At 1000 yards that 6.5 is king though.

  2. Beautiful rifle but unfortunately I just do not trust CMMG products anymore.

Bought a brand-new CMMG 22LR AR-15 conversion kit from Primary Arms in 2018. Less than 700 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt later, the leading quarter-inch of firing pin broke off the 22LR conversion BCG. Supposedly CMMG warranties all it's products for life but that's such a hassle.

So if CMMG can't even design a reliable 22LR conversion for the AR-15, what are the odds they designed from scratch a reliable AR-6.5 Creedmoor?

  3. Sorry for the off-topic question, but ref your DPMS Recon G2, did you ever have problems securing the upper to the lower? When I try to close mine, the back of the bolt is hitting the front of the buffer. Bolt is confirmed all the way forward. Thanks..

  4. 05:06 They do look cool, though. Without one, it's like making a Hot Rod without any wheels!
-Just kiddin'. It only confuses first-time shooters. My ex originally thought the forward assist was the trigger.

  5. I've only had to used the forward assist twice in my life. Once in the military, because the bolt for some reason got stuck to the rear and once (as a civilian) when my dumbass forgot to put a buffer and spring into the buffer tube and charging it
