A quick run down of the features of the Eotech EXPS3 and the Trijicon MRO Patrol, as well as some insight into why you might pick a red dot or a holographic weapon sight. Both optics are rugged and reliable, it comes down to understanding the limitations and advantages of each. *NOTE as someone pointed out in the comments, it’s a 68 MOA ring. Not sure why 65 MOA was stuck in my head.

  1. I’ve got the MRO HD and Trijicon 3x magnifier on my DDM4v7p 300 blackout with the law tactical folder as my backpack gun. Then I’ve got the EXPS3-4 and G33 3x magnifier on my HK MR556a1 as my 200-400 yard gun. Love both. I picked the MRO as my carry gun sight since it stays on. You can’t go wrong with either. Keep in mind that the EOTech doesn’t have forward light emissions for those people that are worried about the deer or your mom having night vision. The rest of your review is spot on.

  2. Last time I took due note of RAKs is during the LA Riots many yrs ago. Still see them on top of their family grocery store trying to save their livelihood. They were vilified, of course.

  3. do holo sites get washed out in dark building/hallway if you hit weapon light?

another reviewer made some comment about how he liked Exps vs xps due to something about a raised area underneath the optic that allows him to use iron sites. Not sure what he's talking about. Any thoughts?

  4. New to your channel, like your style of reviews, so thank you! I've been running mostly EOTech EXPS3's since I noticed with my MRO that when it came to long distance shooting, I was experiencing a slight parallax shift if I couldn't get a perfect cheek-weld on the rifle. The Eotech seemed more forgiving, plus I love the reticle.
