Streamlight has updated their TLR-1 HL light to 1,000 lumens so we did some shooting with it, compare the beam with the 800 lumen version, and go over what I think of it overall 🔦

  1. Damn, just wish they could beat Olight. My Buddy is a LE Officer in Houston & I got his Streamlight TLR-1. I bought the OLight PL Pro Valkyrie Bundle on sale for $102 & swapped with him to see how he likes it. It blows all other lights away! Why people spend $300 for a Surefire? That's something I've never figured out. It's not rechargable, as powerful as the PL Pro, etc. I like lower lumens but my Buddy says the PL Pro Valkyrie is awesome for clearing houses & forest! He loves that rechargable pistol light.

  2. I’m glad you mentioned that chrome ring around the front as it really does bother me. However I still bought one because I wasn’t about to pay $300 for a SureFire.

  3. So if I use that Amazon link I will get this 1000 lumen model? The link brings up the 800 lumen older version. Has Amazon just not updated the description yet? I ordered it off Optics Planet and it just sent me an email saying it will ship in 7 weeks. So tired of them lately.

  4. This is definitely going to be brighter than the x300. I've been running the 800 lumen tlr1 for a year now and barely upgraded to the x300 and am pretty disappointed in the x300. At double the cost of a tlr1, it is barely brighter… made me realize that the tlr1 is a really good light and is no compromise just because it's cheaper. Now that it has 1000 lumens, definitely superior to the x300. Forgot to mention I prefer the controls of the tlr1 also… they dont feel as beefy but I like the ergonomics.

  5. What is the correct part number for the 1000 lumen light? I keep finding the same part number for both 800 and 1000 lights – "STL69260". I definitely want the 100 lumen for the higher candela throw.
