Great informative video. I'm going to be purchasing parts for an entire build and I'm a little stuck on the buffer tube and spring. Looking to run stretch16 with slr titanium adjustable gas. Maybe a good video would be info on how to setup buffertube/spring/bcg/adjustable gas for the stretch16 barrel!! Btw I live close to broomfield Colorado where stretch is a hop skip and a jump away!! Cheers
Is the barrel black or the sniper gray?
I went with your recommendation and purchased the Vltor upper receiver to go with my Stretch 16 barrel. However, I found absolutely no resistance whatsoever when fitting the barrel to the upper. It slides right in and out and has a slight wiggle when it's seated.I haven't torqued the barrel nut or anything yet though. Do you think this will cause any problems?

Really a very nice video. You make do very well with the tools and equipment you have on hand. I think you will find the whole process much easier when you get a nice solid work table to put your vice on, and to work up. I have been there, too, saving up for better infrastructure! 🙂
One little thing I wanted to point out, and it is something I have seen others confused with as well. The flats on the Surefire ProComp MBs are actually farther to the front of the MB, not back towards the barrel, where you applied the painters tape. I would still use painters tape, that was a great idea.
I just got back from my range and all I can say is wow! the stretch 16 is amazing! shoots ridiculously flat for super fast follow up shots. I was easily shooting 1 moa with standard federal ammo. best barrel ive ever shot by far for an ar15!

Question: When you apply torque with an adapter do you have to correct for the extension? I was under the impression that you needed to adjust the adapter 90 degrees to get an accurate torque. Thanks for posting.
