My First AR-15 Build (Time Lapse)

I have purposely not steering my channel into guns and knives and hoarding ammo and stuff as much as possible. However, before our 2nd Amendment rights are “infringed upon” or taken away completely, I wanted to build an AR-15 so that I would have a formidable weapon in my home should the need ever arise to defend myself, my property, or my family.

Having said that, please enjoy this time lapse video of my horrible mistakes and learning as I go as I put together this gun from parts.

Build list:

– Anderson AM15 Lower
– Anderson Sport Upper
– Anderson M16 Bolt Carrier Group
– 16″ Ballistic Advantage Government Profile Mid-length Barrel w/ low profile gas block
– RSM A2 Bird Cage Muzzle Device
– UTG Pro Butt Stock
– UTG Pro 13″ Super Slim Handguard
– Palmetto State Armory Lower Parts Kit
Magpul Gen 2 MBUS Flip Up Sights
– Spikes Tactical Melonite Gas Tube
Magpul Pmag 30 Round Window Magazine
– Anderson Charging Handle

  1. The nice thing about building your own AR-15 is that you can go back and tweak. If you miss some grease, then add it after you do some break in shooting. A cheap spring kit and some polishing of the hammer and sear will smooth out the trigger a lot. My wife is a high school teacher and some of her students saw her at the range shooting military rifles. Instant respect! She shoots long guns better than I can. She even puts my friends to shame.
