  1. (Good aspects of this stock)

    * Best material type

    * Better weight

    * Best size

    * Best clean surface area in contact with face (tube credits)

    (Bad aspects)

    * Price

    * Time to remove, you need more, because you need to use the allen key

    (Random good or bad aspects)

    * Rotation 180 ° or 360 °

    * surface for the shoulder

    * Use in 1 or 6 positions
    * Design

    you can find the same stock not from the same company for close to 12 bucks price in UE in Gunfire store….and he is 360° degrees.

  2. Why does everyone need the lightest stock possible?…come on,the gun is not that damn heavy no matter what stock it has on it people..if it is,then you may want to consider a smaller platform to shoot with..just saying.

  3. neither of these options is the lightest stock on the market…Smoke Composites if lighter than either and it's not close. The SC open carbine length stock (which DOES include the buffer tube/receiver extension) is half the weight of the minimalist stock-body (not including the buffer tube). Scope it out on the PWD.

  4. I prefer to have a comfortable cheek weld. I don't want to use my buffer tube for a cheek rest. I'll stick with my minimalist stock and keep the $25 for ammo. It's a rifle, you can waste money shaving ounces or do some push-ups and curls.

  5. Man, it's getting old every time an innovative product hits the gun market people start crying about the price. If you're in the market for a super lightweight stock that looks great and isn't plastic, than is the extra $30 really a deal breaker? These are the same people that say "Why buy an Aston Martin for $200k when I can get a Mustang GT for $40k?! Maybe that guy can easily afford an Aston and thinks Mustang guys are douche bags.

  6. That "Colt" stock is not a Colt stock, it's a Rogers Super-Stoc, and it's not the stock you're going to get on any AR you buy. The Colt branded version is the proper size for a mil spec tube, and only comes on certain models of Colt AR-15s. The version that Rogers sells on the market is supposed to fit both commercial and mil tubes by clamping them at the front. Most basic ARs these days will come with a Tapco style stock, which can't be sold or even given away, as most of us have about 11 of them in a box somewhere.

  7. I am always looking at different stock options but the standard el cheap-o is just as light or lighter than anything out there and I like the slot to loop the sling through better, it doesn't get in the way like other positions.

  8. There's an even lighter stock which has been on the market forever. Start with an A2 buffer tube and the end plastic piece of the A2 stock. Remove any hardware from the plastic piece, there's usually a door on it for the storage. Attach the plastic piece to the A2 stock with a bit of loctite and you're good to go.

  9. 1st I like to say, not that you knew this, but thanks for publishing this on my Birthday last year. That is a great idea but not for the price of around $75, for a little piece of metal!! The MFT butt stock is less than 1/2 the cost of the B.A.D one!!

  10. kind of cool man thanks for sharing. But it's non adjustable and who wants their cheek against a cold buffer tube. Also doing all this just to save three ounces? You wanna lose weight on the front of your AR, considering they are all front heavy. losing weight on the rear of your rifle actually ruins the balance of the weapon system. But hey if you run your stock fully collapsed then rock on. For me i don't see any advantages to this.

  11. so basically your paying for a rubber pad to use your buffer tube as a stock with a completely pointless QD attachment point? ill stick to the MFT minimalist….. still lightweight, looks great, 6 positions, strong, can use paracord, attachments etc… this thing in my opinion is complete shit…. its not a stock, its a buffer tube accessory
