On a related subject….have you tested 5.56 ammo verses .223 ammo in a Wylde chambered barrel? I just got a good deal on a 223 wylde upper & I just got in a primary arms 1-6 ffp raptor to top it off…..I am excited!

I enjoy these YouTubes where you share what you're selecting and why. Always something interesting to learn. Finally, I have my AR set up as I want it … mostly. For my purposes, a shorter barrel would probably have been a better choice. It took me months of reading and Youtubes before I selected the different components. Soup-to-nuts including optics, light, et al, it has cost me $2,400. I'm not convinced that I could have gotten a rifle of comparable quality for too much less. That concept of quality is where I now have plenty of questions. Quality as measured how? My concern was that if I bought too cheaply and it didn't perform reliably well, then I only had myself to blame. I have an 18" FN chrome-line barrel with 1:7 twist that's wonderfully accurate and durable. Could I have spent $1,000 less to get comparable accuracy? Probably. Did I need an SSA-E trigger, Sharpx XPB BCG, HS503G, Vortex 3x, Primary Arms light, VG6 Epsilon, et al? At the end of the day, this rifle will likely outlast me and is a promise to myself that, if I can lose enough weight, I can take up 3-gun and have some fun. And, living in a city that gets hit with hurricanes …

Surefire Scout DF is pretty cool, I was wanting more throw from mine. Modlite is making some very cool upgrades, and stand alone weapon lights. OKW head has a serious hot spot, and 69,000 candela. The PLH head has 1,500 Lumens and 29,000 candela.

I got a bag with my parts for my scorched dark earth build…
I shake my buffer 3 or 4 times a day.
Not sure how smooth the inside of my buffer tube is though, maybe one day I’ll check.
The only difference I noticed in those lowers is that the spike Tactical’s mag well walls looked much thinner. Is that better ? Is that mil spec ?
Look into the OKW 18650. If you can afford one, you won’t be disappointed…at all

Bear creek is very underrated for budget builds. My 16” 300blk upper was MOA with Walmart Remington ammo. Given at the time that ammo was actually rebranded Barnes.
DD and LMT IMO make the absolute best Fixed BUIS .
On all my Carbines with red dots I run DD Fixed BUIS.
Aero , BCM , and Colt are my favorite LPKs. If I know I'm putting an aftermarket trigger . Than I will get the Spikes LPK Minus FCG.
M4E1 and Spikes are the only 2 stripped lowers I use . 90% of the time it's M4E1 .
