I show you quickly how to use a magazine brush to clean mags at a pistol match. This particular magazine brush is great because it works with basically any size magazine from STI / SVI 2011 magazines on down to basically any other double stack magazine. If you’re shooting on sandy bays and dropping a bunch of magazines – eventually even the most reliable magazines will need to be broken down and cleaned out. The Arredondo Magazine brush is the best one I’ve found for the job.

I normally have enough mags to get through a whole match. When i get home I put mine in the dishwasher. Cleans them perfectly.
Why don't you use base pads like shockbottle?

The second most important thing to bring is a wife or girlfriend to clean the mags for you and/or do your share of the pasting while you clean mags. Those tend to run more than $20 though ….

I did some running between bays on the range today. The ground was wet and swampy. My pants had spots of dirt on the back side afterwards. That's where this brush became very useful! I managed to clean my pants completely with this brush 🙂 I was worried that bristles may be dirty in carbon or so, but my dark navy-colored pants showed no black stains 🙂
For XDM mags I 'sharpen' that prong on the handle with a knife and now it fits.
