One of America’s oldest gunmakers said it’s stopping production of the AR-15. That model has been used in a number of mass shootings. As Jeff Pegues reports, the company said the shutdown is a business decision.

How will these Trumpster 2A nuts be able to bear the loss of both Trump and the Colt AR-15?. Well for now the loss of the latter can prepare them for the loss of the former. Suck it up 2A nuts it's something any decent US Administration would usher in anyway.
Maybe YOUR illustrious leader has had a few words with Colt, not something Trump or any of his cronies would DARE to ADMIT, he'd lie about it and too many of y'all would again believe him. The Trump AR-15 BAN how do you like those eggs!.
Soon after, Colt informed, that they are just pausing civilian production due to number of military and law enforcement orders. Which considering production efficiency, makes a lot of sense. Civilian market is hardly the place to make big bucks with AR-15's. Meanwhile, I will just cancel my order on 1911, just in case.
Heck Colt, if you are siding with the gun grabbers, why don't you just stop making all guns? Are your other guns also not capable of killing people? Don't worry Colt, you are not the only company that makes guns, so all you did is hurt yourself by siding with these leftist communists.
There are many other superior AR-15 platforms out there that it doesn't matter one way or the other. Colt is bowing to the socialists agenda..it will be a loss to Colt but so what?….they were way over-priced for what they produced.
Oh yes thank god.
Back in reality: Colt sells overpriced inferior rifles => goes bankrupt multiple times cuz gun owners aren't buying their rifles => decides to stop selling rifles cuz it's not profitable and there are better AR-15'S selling like Daniel defense, lwrc, pws, HK, etc.

The problem is the she#$$ on people's brain.

There are so many knockoffs of Colt's AR15 in the last decade that have severely undercut their price and quality of their version. It became a fad gun with certain groups and it was cheap. It is a useful design for agricultural management, sport shooting and herd hunting (like feral pigs). It only works as home defense for longer distances, as a handgun is the most ideal for close defense (hallways, rooms, etc) inside your home not a rifle. Your rural property is better defended by a shotgun for a nervous owner their first, and hopefully only, time aiming at a human being or large animal.
Mass shooters choose it because it is currently famous and looks scary like a Rambo movie prop. Mass shooters are terrorists, working on terror psychology. They know this gun will get them the most fame. They are sick.
Most that own the gun are perfectly sane people that bought it for a reason. There are many other semiautomatic rifles of better quality and even more power. Those seem to get ignored by newscasters and reactive politicians playing to an limited (or no) real life knowledge audience.
Colt has just decided that it is an unprofitable gun for them. They have a free market right to manufacture it or not in this nation.

Most gun control arguments miss the point. If all control boils fundamentally to force, how can one resist aggression without equal force? How can a truly “free” state exist if the individual citizen is enslaved to the forceful will of individual or organized aggressors? It cannot.
