  1. All the news Ive heard is that the 350 Legend Barrels have different measurements and the bullets too.Nothing very consistent.
I went with the 450 Bushmaster for a large bore out of AR15 platform.
    How much was this rifle?
I live in TEXAS..Im just buying one to have another big bore AR15
    Great Video.Thanks

  2. I was really digging on the Legend until I figured out Winchester went with .357 on the barrel diameter and not .358 – WTF were they thinking?!? There are no rifle bullets in .357 to speak of, only pistol pills. Unless someone comes out with a barrel in .358, the Legend is a hard pass.

  3. Great video!
hint if you don't do this, you should look at the gas port when scoping the barrel in a AR, there can be burs and it is a nice way to check gas block alignment (you can see this block detail with a Hawk-eye, don't have a Lyman so ??).

  4. I live in southern Ohio out in Adams county and deer hunting is king around here but as you know we are restricted to straight wall only. At my local gun shop the 350 Legend is just flying off the shelf. They have totally undercut 450 Bushmaster because of price. I mean people are picking up the Ruger bolt action in 350 and going to the house with a bag full of ammo for half the cost of 450 Bushmaster.

  5. It is just another proprietary cartridge to try and make the AR-15 a one size fits all. They make no sense and do not do anything that many other cartridges do not already do other than fit and feed from an AR-15 magazine. Stop trying to make the AR15 do things it is not design to do well. I am thinking people are tired of soft market stuff.

  6. I live in Iowa where we can now use straight wall rifle cartridges. I'd love to see you compare the CMMG to the Winchester XPR. Im curious to how much faster it shoots with the longer barrel in the bolt action and if it's inherently more accurate. Can't wait to see you handload this cartridge.

  7. What is that camera system you are using? That is rad that is a Chrono, measures groups, and more, all in one unit. I would like to get my hands on one. Any information would be great, thanks.

I really enjoy watching and learning from your vids. Keep it up

  8. Hey Gavin, I just saw this video with great interest! I've been interested in the 350 Legend since I first learned of it earlier this year, and because it's based on the .223 case. There is an article in the September issue of American Rifleman discussing this cartridge. Really looking forward to seeing your future videos on the 350. Also, I do have one question as to why does the CMMG use a proprietary magazine?

In the magazine article, it states that the .223 and 350 use the same 0.378" case head, and similar rim. Although the 350 is 0.390" forward of the extractor groove, it does tapers down to 0.378" at its mouth. So with that, it seems to me, one could use a standard AR .223/5.56 magazine, like with the 300 Blackout. Anyway, I am looking forward to your work with this cartridge. I"ll be looking closely since it seems all I would need to do is buy an upper, like with the 300 BLK. Thanks!

  9. I’m in the lower half of Michigan and have been using .454 Casull for years, but I just finished getting my parts for a .450 Bushmaster build. Should get it together and ready for the range this coming week. I’ve already 3D printed some followers to swap into a few 30 round P-Mags for range use, as well as bought a couple 5 rounders to hunt with.

  10. I like the idea that your going after this new Calabria as it was released for the 219 shot show. Not too many tubers have brought it up and since Federal and Hornady will have this cartage it is a go with bringing up the ballistics as well. Great subject want to see more.

  11. Equivalent to a 30-30 never, that was an obscure reload data on a 30-30 round never produced but we all know you can make numbers so what you want. A hot 9mm would be a more accurate comparison considering velocities from AR carbines in that caliber. As far as straight wall viability for states that requires that, 450 bushmaster produces nearly twice the energy. Can it kill deer, obviously, for my time in the deer woods if a similar state IN I'll take the 458 socom. I know throw out the well it's easier to shoot with. How many hunters and shooters only have one rifle? If we want to plink it will be with a caliber appropriate to our budget but when time and energy are directly effected by the caliber you choose I know very very few that will hang their whole hunting season or buck of a lifetime on such a lackluster caliber.

  12. I'm not interested in this rifle but I did like the information and the way you present it. I wish I lived closer, we'd be best friends weather you like it or not….just kidding🤣 👍 👍 I really like your videos.

  13. Why 350 if you can get a 450BM for cheap? I picked up few months ago a cheap BSA upper in 450BM, shoots sub-moa with factory ammo and even better with my reloads, even with 1-6 cheap scope it rings steel at 200 yards. Maybe recoil, but with a brake and a Kynshot recoil damper it isn't bad at all.

  14. I used to live in Ohio I like the 4570 they allowed pistols much longer than they have straight wall rifle cartridges mighty 12 gauge has always been what I've used most now I live in Missouri I think the ultimate deer rifles is a 243
