The Heckler & Koch HK416 is an updated, piston-action derivative of the M4 carbine. It’s been issued to U.S. Special Forces troops – and yes, it’s the rifle used by the Navy Seals who ended the career of Osama bin Laden. Now, you can assemble your own with an HK416 parts kit from Brownells. Broken down from complete German rifles that saw little-to-no use, these kits lack only the lower receiver, barrel, and bolt. The good news is Brownells offers those parts separately, so you can get ALL the components you need to build a complete, semi-auto HK416 rifle. In this video, Paul Levy explains the differences between the HK416 and the M4, and then he shows you how assemble an HK416 kit.

Cool. But a waste of money.
Great vid and build, ty Brownells
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but the first part of the video assumes that lower has standard AR parts, and installs like a normal AR15. This is not true. Please do another review of the assembly of the INTERNALS of that lower!
You all should make a heavy barrel option so that way you could make an m27 clone mate!
Thanks
I wish I had $4k to blow on this… or spend less than half on a Sig MCX
$3,299.99
for a parts kit, holly smokes!
Idek why I'm complaining about the price of one of these when I'm most likely never going to get one. I'm literally bored at 2am.
I have 2 questions for Brownells on this build. First, I did not see any grease used on the receiver extension/barrel nut during assembly. Is there a specific one recommended? Or just the same grease that one would use on any AR assembly? (moly?) I have removed the barrel nut on a factory HK MR556 and there is some kind of grease there. Second, I did not see a Go, No-Go or Field gauge used to check head space after assembly? Is this something that was done off screen or did you skip it? And if so, why? Thanks in advance!
Honestly ainโt a bad price considering that you are looking at $15 for a post sample version as well as a company who imported and made these sans the factory barrel and bolt for $13k.
If you aint gonna sell me the full auto receiver then fuck you
Can a civilian even buy these if they are sold with an auto trigger or sear?
$399 for the stripped lower? LOL.
"A fool and his money are soon parted"
converting MR 556 cost as much as if not higher believe me I'm doing it threw Investment Grade Firearms my Mr556 was sent off in March this year and to this day NOTHING This is NOT bad wish i seen this earlier

Where's my wallet?! Nice job Brownells.
Yeah it's almost a 416. Except for the whole missing the bolt, lower, and barrel thing.
Iโm waiting on that Brownells A2 Lower
Any chance you guys will make one?
Costly
What is that tool you used to hold the upper called? do you sell it?
For the price of this, you can get 2 PWS ar15 and 1 PSA ar15
Those butt stocks don't hold up well
You mean the fake Osama bin Laden raid that "killed" him for the 2nd time after he had already died in late 2001? That OBL? People still believe that nonsense? Incredible.
All you need to know:
It costs $4000 and is nothing more than a MR556.
The 416 is a piston AR made by HK. Not much else special about it besides maybe the barrel and lore. Not worth $3k function wise.
but is the barrel chrome lined or are they dicking us around again and providing they're "match/sportsman" barrel
Or just buy a MR556 and take your time converting it.
That 416 build is awesome!! I have to get one. I wonder if you can add a binary trigger? Rich ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ซ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
Way to much for just a pile of used mil parts, just go buy a used Ruger 556 if you want a piston AR
Nice but no thanks, even for a reasonable price. I;m sure they will sell all.
You know, you could just buy a LMT New Zealand rifle for much cheaper and, as a plus, it comes already assembled.
That is a MR556 gas block not a HK416 Block. The 416 block has a bayonet lug…..
That indexing tab on the gas block though. First world problems.
