  1. Just wanted to thank you for the review, yours and many others helped me make my decision. I just received my stock and front grip and installed yesterday. I will have to respectfully disagree with your opinion on the quality. I see and feel little to no difference in quality between these pieces and the various pieces of magpul furniture I own. Love the lighter weight and love how tight the tolerances are when fitting everything – really makes it look like my AR came this way if that makes sense.

  2. Legally, is the CQR stock considered as a pistol grip or a thumbhole grip? My AR-15 has a maglock on it (which I have to break the upperframe to release the mag) which allows me to legally have all the "scary attachments" and pistol grip on it since it no longer meets the definition of an "Assault rifle/weapon" in California. Soooooo, technically, I can get the CQR stock without the plate then right?

  3. For an AR-15
My .02$ from a CA/NY "featureless" version (no thumb hole) CQR, don't get it. Get a Thordson. The CA/NY compliant CQR feels awkward and unnatural. A Thordson makes it feel like more of a hunting rife with hand positioning, but feels more natural to handle.
Another good solution is don't live in CA or NY.

  4. Garbage, the damn grip is too damn steep. straighten that shit out so you don't get fucking carpal tunnel shooting. Also, precision stocks are for a very small niche group of shooter. If you THINK you need it, you DON'T. If you can pull off half MOA with your AR-15 with a MFT minimalist stock the fuck you need something that's 2X the weight and 2-3X the cost on your AR-10? If you're response is "recoil mitigation" (because I already busted you on your fake wanabe pro nats ass 5k yard plinker) with a thicker butt pad then you need to redesign your build (if you built it at all). Re-think your gas block, BCG, muzzle device, and your buffer stick guts. Don't ask me the fuck I'm talking about, I'm not your soft shouldered gunny bunny here to teach you boy, research it your damn self!

  5. Airsoft stuff does suck, and I was really Nervous about buying an Airsoft thing. But, I got one of those Clones of a Steiner DBAL. I couldn't help myself. The price was right. I was expecting it to just Crap out and to just lose its Zero or just fall apart, but ive had it for going on like a Year and a half, and it is Rugged and holds a Zero. I put it on a LaRue mount, so maybe that was why its held up. I don't Regret it at all. In fact that's one of the Smartest buys ive ever done. Airsoft Engineers are some Sneaky bastards. Steiner better watchout. Cuz their stuff is a Fraction of the price of a Steiner. I think Steiner might be a Sinking Ship pretty soon.

  6. I think the Vitaly Bulgarov design is more ergonomic in design when taking into consideration the palm swell as well as the finger grip design. Hopefully Hera Arms will incorporate this into their design. Plus, Hey ! it looks better that way!
