This is an initial impression of the Surefire XH35, not a review test of durability long term use or reliability. We will delve into the XH35 and it’s lineage from other Surefire products (switchology, mounting system, accessories such as SR07) and compare it to the industry leading competitor TLR1 HL (size, strobe options, switches, beam both throw, brightness and shape) as well as some final thoughts on improvements to the Surefire product line in the future. 1. that trl-1 is 630 lumens i have the trl-2 800 lumens great for long distance but the xh35 is better a short distance with more ground to cover around

  2. Thanks for the informative vid! I was looking at getting an XH35, or perhaps saving some money and going with the TLR-1HL. This made up my mind. XH35 it is. Ohh well, there goes a little more of the tax refund… 😀

  3. Rumor from Shot Show was that the X300u would be offered with 1000 lumens in the future.  I wonder if they will do that with the max vision optics.  Basically like the XH35 output without the holster mounting option and strobe function.
