The BCM 12.5” Kino 5.56 AR-15 upper receiver group is essentially a mini dissipator. We do some shooting with it, test the accuracy, go over the details, and what I think of it overall.

  1. I've not had any issues with 10.5 AR pistols as far as reliability goes, but I can see the velocity factor some may want from the 12.5 barrel. I also don't shoot Tula, too many inconsistencies, but I found Wolf and RAS to be a lot better, especially in accuracy vs Tula. No issues at all with XM193 or M855.

  2. The BCM factory is right down the road from me and I know a few people who have seen it in person. From what i hear its incredible! Imbtold the working conditions and Quality control is top notch.

  3. The Kino has to be my single favorite all-around AR configuration. Also, BCM does PIN the lowpro gas block on these. I don't know why they do on these and not all the others, but they do. I just got another a few weeks ago and it is pinned and screwed in like the 1st one I got years ago.

  4. Y not make it a gas length gas system? Doesn’t make too much sense to me to do it the way they did unless I’m missing something. And of course we all know mid length has systems will reduce felt recoil slightly so that would be a win win.
