  1. Almost didn`t recognize you with a flannel shirt on. No problem with a suit coat thats why I subscribe to you and your channel. Best of luck and many more videos coming I hope.

  2. I have a 10.5 AR in 7.62×39 and I’ll tell you, those things can be finicky. Magazines seem to be biggest issue. Next would be the feed ramp. I also put an adjustable gas block to get it tuned just right. Maybe it was just the one I got but I’ve seen a lot of stuff talking about the difficulties of adapting the AR platform to the 7.62.

  3. I was looking at the first E-Mail I got from Bear Creek Arsenal, and they have a complete upper assembly for an AR for a very inexpensive price. They even sell complete 7.62X39 rifles and handguns for the same price you were wanting to build yours for. Why not just buy theirs?

  4. Pardon me for saying so, but that's not an M-LOK handguard. That's a Keymod handguard. If you ask me, it's equally as good as the M-LOK, but folks tend to gravitate towards the M-LOK because that's what the US Armed Forces are going to. I have both on various AR builds.
In Kentucky, the only gun shows you'll get a deal at are the bigger ones, like in Louisville or Lexington. The smaller ones will sell you used stuff at higher than brand new prices. They don't mind ripping you off one bit, and they smile while they do it; what a shame.
The next AR pistol you embark upon, consider the 300 AAC. It has a bullet (about) the same size as the 7.62×39 (it's 30 cal.), it was designed for the shorter barrels and flies out of a re-necked 223/5.56 brass casing. One advantage is, it uses the same bolt/BCG and magazines as the 223/5.56. Everything is the same except for the barrel. It tends to gas better than the 7.62×39 in the AR platform because of the straight contour of the brass (not that "AK" shape). That's why you must have that big curved magazine for the 7.62×39 – to fit the contour of the round (fatter at the bottom).
Good video. I hope you send many, many rounds down range with a smile behind every one of them. Enjoy!

  5. The guns shows in your area must be vastly different than the ones in VA. Most of the vendors here sell mostly Chinese knock off's and the guys that build uppers use the cheapest parts possible. For $400.00 you could get a complete rifle from PSA that has a lifetime warranty. Their KS47 for a little bit more is excellent and uses AK mags for more reliable feeding.
