I thought that I was the only one who liked the pencil barrels. When it comes to the heavier military barrels, they're fine if you have the need. But who among us are military (who provides their own weapons) or contract operators (again, who provides their own weapons)? I whole-heartedly agree with making your rifle (or pistol) into your own. I like building my lowers from scratch, and buying my upper receiver and barrel pre-constructed, simply because I don't have to fool with head spacing (I don't have headspace gauges). Good video. We see eye to eye.
Its just silly to buy a new butt stock.. lol What the hell is the difference? They still got you a little bit. You are now getting what you want for cheap, but have you asked yourself "Why" you want it this way or that?… Just keep going, you're almost out of the rabbit hole of control.

I have been hearing a lot about headspace lately do you measure that when you build ?
It seems that some people want to believe firearms are more complicated than they are.
Totally agree with EVERYTHING you just said bro!

Great review. I'm building my first Ar15 I think it's better too because you can make it how you like.
