what grip is this ?????
How many slots does the mount take up?
The Daily shooter, Loving the videos. What is the brand/name of the pistol grip you have on the lower here?
You could definitely do better. Fusion is a 3/4" MOA ammo.
Did you review a dot sight without showing a view of the dot?
I love my offset setup. Makes it very fun to shoot with a red dot for up close and then out to 700 with a 3 power
Should have used the JP offset mount, it actually mounts the Optic OVER the centerline of the bore when mounted using the top rail. Makes it much easier to zero for 0-100yd usage
How do you zero in the offset red dot when you don’t have a front sight to cowitness with?
As a general rule of thumb, are off-set red dots typically placed behind the mount of the larger scope, or in front? Or is it a matter of preference?
I dropped my FNX 45ACP with this Red Dot on it on my carpet from a shoulder holster when I bent over and it shattered the glass completely.. The good news is that Vortex replaced it with no questions… Great customer experience and completely my fault.. But I do question durability:)
I’m interested in mounting one of these mini red dots to my rifle. But, I have a scope on right now. My question is how do you manipulate the brightness and the on and off on the system when the operation buttons are up against the scope and you can’t get your fingers in between to do so?
What lower is that on your AR?
How long is the hand gaurd on this rifle?
I have the vortex Venom as well and was planning on running it the same way you are in the video. However, the scope I am using is a Trijicon accupower 1-8, and the side turret sticks out quite a bit. Do you think the 45 degree rail you're using in the video is long enough to clear the turret? I bought a cheap 45 degree rail from Amazon for just a couple of bucks and it does not extend out far enough to clear the turret. About 75% of the red dot Glass is covered up.
Would there be any benefit or detractors in mounting the red dot and offset just forward of the ejection port?
Where did you get the buttstock?
Bad ass rifle. Thank you!
Will this optic hold up on a scar 17?
Venom up next for the AR <3
I have one on my Glock 40 MOS. Great sight, wouldn't use any other sight. I was looking into a video like this when I build my AR. Wanted to get opinion on how it works for a dual sight.
I use it on my Glock 41 MOS
I am considering using this for an offset sight. Can this be adjusted for close range 7-10 yrs, and would the Midwest Industries mount work?
FYI this is a 22.5 degree offset mount, not a 45 degree offset. }:-)
Is the weight for the red dot or red dot plus mount? My mbus flip ups are 2.47oz id like to replace.
Great review. Thanks
I have a question, I have a holosun 403c red dot and it works although the for looks like almost like a star burst effect to me instead of a Crisp red dot.. I looked at my buddy's strikefire 2 red dot and that looks the same to me. I also have a vortex strike eagle with an illuminated redicul and that is perfectly crisp when illuminated… do you this this vortex micro red dot would be crisp or a star burst effect for me compared to these other optics? thanks!
That's a 22.5 degree offset…not 45 degree
In regards to the mounting location, would you have found it beneficial to have mounting it higher around the scope mount rings? And pros/cons to that?
I haven't watched all your videos, no doubt you covered this, but where did you find that fantastic grip? I am planning a lightweight build and it would look great. Thanks.
Very nice vid, thanks.. Why haven't more people put their main scope on the 45 degree rail (left of center) with the vertical straight up and down and their secondary scope (centered) up on the main rail??
would it take a beating from a 308?
Nice setup man. How is that offset mount holding up? Maintain zero battle?I like how that mount is a bit higher..but is that better/easier for the eye?
