Great video. Thanks for posting.
I also subscribed.
excellent video.. I came across it as I was searching on broken firing pin retaining pins. Any advice or info on why these retaining pins break. Is it from dry firing? I only have 550 rds thru the rifle.
Extremely well done. Subscribed.
Well done. My Cam pin had minor scoring, yet is relatively new. Now I know why as this piece takes some abuse. I purchased a back up for when it's time to replace. I would have NEVER know to do this without this video. It also address my question of where to lube the AR-15, although lubing the BCG was left a little vague. You implied to lube at areas where there is contact shown thru shiny surfaces and showed the wear on the splines, but didn't say expressly to lube there. Minor detail ! All in all, great video.
This is what sold me on the AR. A few simple tools, and you can overhaul it in any garage, or workshop.
I'm new to the AR15. Thanks for informative presentation!!
I give credit where it's due ,this is an awsome video, very informative
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. You have a talent for instructing.
Great video! The best. Obrigado
The best presentation so far! congrats! ( I have the same inventive idea about the sharpie tool)
Great video
My cam pin looked just like that and I only have 300 rounds thru mine. It just carbon it just needed a good cleaning and scrapping is all. It's not a groove. I thought it was as well until I worked on it
when checking the gas rings aren't too tight, if they don't allow the bolt to 'pop out' upon the flick-momentum test, does that mean there is an issue?
Fantastic video. Professional. Straight to the point. Learned a lot. Thank you!
Thanks for some nice, fairly concise and reasonably detailed info; that's a manageable chunk of info for one video, so very much appreciated
only 20k rounds and your ditching the bolt. we shot probably 20k rounds through our M4's before we went downrange and didn't swap out any parts.
Thanks much.
nice watch
I must admit, when I saw "Pawn Shop", I almost passed over this video. That would have been a mistake. This is an excellent overview of the bolt-carrier-group, function, assembly, and inspection – which I sorely needed. I appreciate you putting this together, and I will definitely subscribe.
Very informative! Thanks!
Isn't there a little firing pin spring?
Absolutely fantastic video. truly a man of experience on carriers and bolts. Thanks for the valuable knowledge
The gas key has a small hole to vent inside the bolt to help unlock the bolt. However, this also leads to fouling inside the bolt. My question is if this venting is absolutely necessary when the piston system ar's do not use this at all but rather unlock the bolt only with the rearward action only?
Great video…. very detailed.
Very good job on the cam pin insertion , one way in.
your cam pins & gas rings wear because ur not using enouh oil! i use 10w 40 motor oil
Excellent video. Thanks.
Thanks a ton! You are really good at explaining things.
Is the firing pin supposed to stay towards the rear or does it move forward with the bolt? Thanks for the video helps a lot.
good very liked thnks
Excellent video.Thanks an take care.
Thanks for a very informative video. Well presented and covered many important topics.
Really awesome info and great stuff. If I ever had a problem with my AR I would send it straight to you.
Very comprehensive and easy to follow guide for M4 maintenance. Thank you.
I know a lot of people have said this already, but thanks for the very informative video. It's certainly the most informative one I've seen. Nice watch btw.
Best video on the topic. Subscribed!
Very good info – Cheers
What's the deal with that stupid O ring over the ejector spring? My AR from A.T.I. had one of those O rings and it was so stiff the ejector wouldn't move so the bolt could close all the way so it wouldn't fire. I had to remove the O ring before the bolt would close all the way with a round in the chamber.
