  1. Amazing. I had a regular incandescent Stinger that I used for years until I replaced that with the (at the time) new LED Stinger which was amazingly bright, compared to the incandescent bulb. A few months ago, my LED Stinger grew legs and walked away so I ordered this for a replacement and HOLY CRAP! This thing is seriously bright! Ridiculously bright! And the nice thing is that Streamlight hasn't changed the charger for years, so if you've previously owned a Stinger, even way back to the old incandescent bulb days, you can still use the same charger and save some money by buying the flashlight only. This is an amazing product and I'm constantly impressing my co-workers with how bright it is.

Just saw this on Amazon: Streamlight 75458 Stinger DS LED HL Rechargeable High Lumen Flashlight by Streamlight http://amzn.to/2bvPVtP

  2. This is a great comparison video.  I am leaning toward getting the new Stinger ds led hl for work.  If you are on a traffic stop, the stinger is a great size because it's large enough to hold under your arm so as to keep both hands free and small enough to stick in your pocket temporarily or on your duty belt.  I like the high 600 lumen output as well an the fact it's rechargeable.  I have an old stinger I dug out of a drawer the other day.  It's a pre-led technology model.  I charged it up and it still works.  I like the quality of Streamlight and the fact they have a life time warranty on the switches etc.

  3. Great basic test. I just ordered my Stinger DS LED HL comes with extra battery and AC/DC charger, Looking foreword to getting it just tired of spending money over thr years for average flashlights…..I will report back you upon testing it out,,,Thanks again….Ricky W. Western North Carolina
