The CMMG .22 conversion kit, blued steel. Also comes in stainless. This is a great choice if you need to stay keen with your ar15 skills and not spend as much money. According to CMMG you will pay for the conversion kit in savings after 1000 rounds. I have found this kit to be amazing if you get it to work. For mine it took some tinkering with, but it was worth it.

I am so sorry to learn about is passing. No words can be offered that can sooth the pain caused from the sudden lose of a loved one. But I offer them for what little comfort they may provide. My most heart felt and sincere condolences for your loss. I lost my only sister to a car accident back in 93 and there is not a day that goes buy that she is not thought of.
The problems I have had were caused by the CMMG mag itself. The mechanism worked fine with Federal HP jacked .22 ammo. (Cheap stuff from wally world)

glad you got the kit runnin good,I have the stainless steel version,about 800 rds thru it only had 1 FTF & couple FTE so I'm happy w/ it,mine's not picky on ammo either it shoots bulk fed,winchester,bvac,amscor,rem.I shoot it out of a stag 2h upper
