  1. I thought M16 was difficult weapon to maintain as it was one reason it was pulled out the front because it jams easily. Also, burst fire was introduced because with full automatic soldiers would waste the whole mag in mindless shooting in CQB situations… Maybe I've been fired with revolution then too much… 'murica wins again!

  2. go ahead let's forget the infinite flaws of the M16 during the beginning days, and if not kept clean the M16 works as well as trying to breathe underwater. (meaning it stops working, has time to be revived, and then dies)

  3. M16 is better than the AK. One of my relatives used the AK in Vietnam and described the first rounds of the mag as accurate and far ranged, but after that the recoil was too insane. Once they got their hands on M16s however, they say that the recoil and accuracy problems are all gone.

  4. Fun fact: Most of the 'AK-47s' were actually AKMs, and it's actually the most common AK variant. Not the original AK-47 which has stopped production as early as 1959 as the AKM were considerably easier to manufacture.
