I live in the Carolinas and we do not have any restrictions as far as rifles but I bought the Ruger American 450 Bushmaster because all of my shots are within a hundred and fifty yards and most of them are in timber and are less than 50 yards why not have something that puts a lot of energy into the game and hopefully will result in a quicker more ethical kill

Nice vid, but you forgot eye protection.
Use tires,cut some strips and hang you steel with them chains suck and are expensive
waitin' on an AR 15 chambered in "modern" 45-70 gov't 2000+ fps and up loads …………….must gonna be a long wait…….
Now you just need a 458 SOCOM, 50 Beowulf, 375 SOCOM, and that wildcat, the 3?? YETi…
You can then start a whole new channel on YouTube, a dedicated BIG BORE AR channel.. No one else seems to have them..
The funny part, is you're not a big guy, yet you're the only one I've seen on YouTube, not whining, or even joke-whining about the recoil..
Even guys who look like the incredible Hulk, I've seen on here whining about the recoil of those larger AR calibers..
get higher on the front end. you aren't getting on your shoulder right. too low on the shoulder! raise the bipod!

Northern Iowa resident here. is there a mag cap we have to abide by for hunting with .450BM? i'm buying an upper in that caliber here soon.
Anything gotta be more enjoyable than a shotgun and slugs. I like the idea of a "slug gun", but this interests me more.

Did you borrow your wife's car?
Why use a AR for hunting when you could use a bolt rugar for probably less money? I think some states have laws on magazine size anyway so the AR won't really give you an advantage.
ruger gunsite scout is a pretty nice walnut stocked 450 BM and very accurate.
You don't have a mat to lay on.
That round will take down about anything.
What buffer do you use?
I don't even see no recoil at all

I have an Aero 458 SOCOM upper and an ALG handguard right now, Michigan is the same as Iowa in that below Grayling I think it's shotgun or straight wall cartridge so 450BM has become very popular here very quickly. I'm probably going to go with a Tromix barrel, however, we shall see. Keep up the great work.

Man she’s a beauty
Just finished my second 458 socom. One rifle and a Pistol. Tromix barrel, bolts and muzzle brakes. They are just the nuts to shoot. Pistol packed a good punch til I put the linear Compensator on. Nice build.
